So the Labour Party is beginning to announce it’s planned policies before the GE.

They have started by focusing on the housing crises which has got so bad over the past 13 years. Housing has never been in such crises, and we are all aware how difficult it is for our grandchildren’s generation to find decent affordable housing to rent at enormous cost, let alone buy.

The boost will be to affordable housing. This will be done through planning by writing in the planning law a set target for affordable housing, together with guidance to developers and councils. Targets will be set and the aim is 300k new houses p.a.
