A space for those interested. But I'l kick off with this:

Who says that Keir Starmer is humourless?

Keir Starmer appoints Boris Johnson’s ex wife Marina Wheeler as his sex pest tsar and you can’t help but think he had a wry smile on his face when he secured that particular little victory ✌️

I’m ok thanks, we have an excellent prospective independent candidate.

I presume you mean it won't win your vote GrannyGravy. I doubt you know how other voters are going to vote.

I think there will be a great deal of interest in where the money has gone and in getting as much as possible back.

I am politically homeless.

Neither of the three main parties have inspired me enough to warrant my X

Start your own.

That seems to be what many on GN want. They want a party that does exactly what they want they will just offer insults. No getting closer to what they want and less of what they don't want. All they really want to do us criticise.

But it t'was ever thus.

I am not au fait with politics so I am not here for a fight.

Can you tell me how Starmer & Co intend dealing with the thousands of people landing on our shores? Also what their stance will be on free speech.

Hers a balanced review of the Labour proposals which I hope you’ll find helpful NanKate.

Hilarious!

If that’s an example of how Labour are going to spend money, it won’t win votes.

If you want to avoid feeling sick then I strongly recommend that you avoid listening to the evidence being given at the covid enquiry. It is quite dreadful.

My god this government has so much to answer to.

Re The commissioner for corruption

“If we look at the Covid-19 crisis, we see a similar pattern of public moneys, supposedly to tackle the pandemic, being extracted for private gain. A recent report by Transparency International UK says that a fifth of the Covid contracts awarded by the government contained red flags indicating possible corruption.

It is also well known that close contacts of Tory politicians made immense profits through this crisis, while the rest of the country suffered sickness, deaths and economic pain. The New York Times analysed 1,200 contracts worth nearly $22bn and found that roughly half went to companies run by friends and associates of Conservative party politicians, or with no experience in that area.”

Going to be busy aren’t they?

That actually makes me feel sick. How many more stones still left to be turned are there out there?

If the Tories are like a hollowed out shell, then Labour remind me of a shoal of puffer fish….Ww2

Really? Do you write cracker jokes for a living too?

It was also run as if it were a Presidential pre-election rally - all about Sunak. Labour was about the team headed by a potential Prime Minister. Both Sunak and Johnson seem to see us as some form of mini America - not surprising with their backgrounds I suppose.

Nothing like the Conservative conference in my eyes Casdon.

Not on housing wwm!

Well, I guess the next opinion polls will tell us what the rest of the electorate thought, but I heard a lot of the same old platitudes at the Tory conference as in previous years, which I don’t think many of them believe any more.

I’m sure they didn’t casdon as so many stayed away, or more likely given up.

The Tories were like a hollowed out shell.

Hi folks

Personal attacks aren't tolerated, please can we refrain from posting in this way? Thanks.

MaizieD surely the top spot for catastrophic democratically elected leaders goes to Adolf Hitler?
I always thought democracy could go so hideously wrong……

If you think Hitler was a British PM in the last 70 years there;'s no hope for you, ronib.
