Letter sent to Sunak, further details to be updated.

So far.

ā€œYour plan is not workingā€

I reckon the row will happen whatever the Rwanda verdict.

For government - Braverman will claim total validation.

Against government - Braverman will lay the blame on Sunak for his total lack of support etc.

Cleverly is against Rwanda - so I suppose even if the case is won, Rwanda will not be used as a ā€œbin um and forget umā€disposal point.

The neat bit is that the figures have gone down. Fishy.

To be precise - they have gone up more slowly.

So what has Sunak done to achieve a slowing down? B….r all as far as I can see.

Well when the Crown finishes perhaps Netflix can begin a dramatisation of the fiasco which has been played out to an ever disbelieving public. It could start with Boris and his antics etc etc followed by the Truss debacle and then the Rishi versus SB ( wicked witch of No 10) where the Tory Party either implodes or retires to fight another day.

Anyone read the Guardian’s headline for today? Inflation rate is tumbling?
Whose side are they on?

Whitewavemark2 Wed 15-Nov-23 08:54:09

The facts?

Mamie Wed 15-Nov-23 08:58:52

Well the government was always very keen to say that inflation was nothing to do with them so not sure they can claim any credit here.....

What they have done to prevent it going up any further is to delay - yet again (the 5th time I think) the Brexit implementations on our borders.

So it is what they haven’t done rather than what they have doneā˜ŗļø

What I questioned is how you can write a letter of "resignation" as everyone is calling it when you have already been sacked whether by mouth or telephone.
If you have been sacked you can't then resign.
Is she so delusional that she does not recognise what she has been told before she wrote the letter? One could question her take on any situation.

NotSpaghetti Wed 15-Nov-23 10:29:22

Bella23 - lots of us think she's delusional.

He kept her close - until that became impossible ā€œKeep your friends close; keep your enemies closer.ā€

She is constantly posturing to be leader. Odious woman in my opinion.

... maybe the side of just reporting the news?

Phillip Inman - Economics Editor and Writer - has given the view from all sides... Labour, the government, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Isn't that what we want - unbiased reporting?

I know I’m a bit slow on the uptake sometimes but today, whilst ruminating on the possibility of Braverman becoming leader of the opposition after the next election, it suddenly dawned on me that she could actually, at this moment in time have been the unelected PM of this country. Imo she’s the most racist MP since Enoch Powell.

Who is she racist towards?

She is of Mauritian/Kenyan heritage and married to a South African Jew.

MayBee70 History does not find that Enoch Powell was racist. In reality Powell was a brilliant academic it seems.

I don’t know what version of history you’re referring to ronib? This sums it up very well.

^I think he did it by 'phone - because he's a coward.^...

Or maybe she refused to go in?

Or perhaps he thought, if he invited her to No. 10 she'd heave him out and barricade herself in?

Iam64 Wed 15-Nov-23 15:14:23

Which history would that be

So what? Mauritians, Kenyans and South Africans can all be racist.

Even brilliant academics can be racist.

Brilliant academics can also be quite barmy. Did you know that Piers Corbyn has a First in physics from Imperial College?

And that’s why she gets away with it…she can’t possibly be racist because…..

Like a lot of politicians who either resign or are sacked, they tend to make a comeback a while later, so am sure SB will return at some point, she seems to have a lot of support.
After all if David Cameron can come back then anything can happen.😲

ronib Wed 15-Nov-23 21:48:03
