Anyone going to be reading his latest swipe at the Royal Family which comes out tomorrow?

Me neither!

Jaberwok Tue 28-Nov-23 10:54:47

A butt of malmsey wine comes to mind for this treacherous brother!

Jaberwok Tue 28-Nov-23 10:51:51

You're certainly right there Calendargirl, but I think even Harrys long suffering father has had enough! This unwarranted and vicious attack on the RF, particularly the Princess of Wales could well be the straw etc. I haven't read or listened to any of the rubbish that has come out of Montecito and have no intentions of doing so now. If M & H are not the source of this odious mans information, then where is he getting it from? We now have two royal racists, as yet unnamed! Apparently they will remain as such owing to fears of a libel lawsuit. . Why such fears if this were true? Whether or not you support the RF, vicious, attacks on any people unable to reply is both cowardly and downright disgusting. Chestnut, I did chuckle at your description of Omid ?? Couldn't have put it better myself!!

Ad nauseum it goes on and on. No other reason but make money. The more outrageous - the more lucrative. Yes open the tower and put them all in so they can share their rubbish and we can forget them.

Urmstongran Tue 28-Nov-23 10:37:44

I’m not the least bit interested in this book.

No idea why anyone would want to read this tripe.

why would you have any idea?

henetha Tue 28-Nov-23 10:35:29

No, thank goodness grin

I don't want to read his pathetic made-up rubbish.

it is not compulsory!

Calendargirl Tue 28-Nov-23 10:32:08

Seeing as I appear to be the only one who intends to actually read this book, I will come back with a review after I get it from the library.

Sorry eazybee, but I feel no guilt ordering a book from my local library. If they chose not to stock it, fair enough, but they obviously do.

From snippets I have already seen, I think H&M need to hope that Charles remains on the throne for a good few years, even if he is an ‘unpopular’ king, as I think once William is King, pussyfooting around the Sussexes will come to an abrupt halt.

eazybee Tue 28-Nov-23 10:25:48

If people wish to read this tripe they should be prepared to pay for it and then their money can go directly to the author they affect to despise. Libraries are making all sorts of swingeing cuts, mainly at the expense of staff, and this book, although I'm sure will have been carefully checked to ensure there are no grounds for libel, is full of unpleasant personal attacks.
I do realise it will boost the lending levels of individual libraries so perhaps that is why it is purchased.

The best review so far: Endgame, a hit job that reads like a Mumsnet post about the worlds' worst in-laws,' (Anita Singh, Daily Telegraph.)

That’s brilliant! 😂

GrannyGravy13 Tue 28-Nov-23 10:13:40

I will not read it.

The snippets that have been leaked seem to be one long criticism (jealousy) fest against the Princess of Wales.

I was never agin H & M but this appears to be very spiteful, a temper tantrum from a toddler springs to mind…

I don’t mind public libraries stocking the book because people want to read it, and we don’t censor books normally in the UK. However it concerns me that people will believe what is most likely a book full of lies and made up stories.
I hope it’s filed in the fiction section.

Casdon Tue 28-Nov-23 09:48:41

But what’s the point of a public library if it isn’t to stock the books that people most want to read eazybee? I’m not condoning the book, but it’s not illegal.

eazybee Tue 28-Nov-23 09:45:43

I am just annoyed that hard-strapped Public Libraries are wasting money on this trash.

karmalady Tue 28-Nov-23 06:50:49

Omid scobie, odious little git

I can't believe this pathetic saga is still running. His stupid face keeps popping up along with equally stupid comments. I visualise him as a ventriloquist dummy sitting on Meghan's lap. 😂

I imagine most people are sick to death of H&M and just wish they would disappear altogether.

mamaa Tue 28-Nov-23 00:23:15

Endgame- but probably not as the author originally intended as far as I can see, from snippets released and the not very supportive resulting comments…

maddyone Tue 28-Nov-23 00:05:40

Well that’s good Syracute.

So where does Omid Scobie get his information from?

Meghan?
Completely made up by himself?
An anonymous source, never to be disclosed?

Answers on a postcard please. No prize for getting the right answer.

Syracute Tue 28-Nov-23 00:00:06

No, I won’t be buying or reading this book.
Does Harry really want an invite to Sandringham for Christmas? Wow, if true, what a nerve.

He had nothing to do with this book and has said so.

MerylStreep Mon 27-Nov-23 22:30:36

Even the Sussex supporting New York Times have slated the book.
This book won’t go down well in the USA. They are referring to Harry and Meghan as grifters. The veil has lifted.
