Time to get over this. Move on. The fines should be cut in half.

But half of £14,000 for someone on a low wage (who was in fact not at fault, allegedly) bears no comparison to a £50 fine for a Prime Minister.

I heard that many thousands of Covid fines in Australia were withdrawn as invalid after test cases went to court.

Police will not fine anyone who attended a gathering in the House of Commons that was alleged to have broken coronavirus rules in December 2020.

The gathering on December 8 was said to have been arranged by Commons Deputy Speaker Dame Eleanor Laing to celebrate the birthdays of Tory MP Virginia Crosbie and peer Baroness Jenkin, while London was in Tier 2 at the time.

The minute Johnson got that derisory fine a complete nonsense was made of the draconian fines dished out to other covid rule breakers.

All the fines should be reimbursed, less £50, as that appears to be the gold standard fine..

I agree.

Absolutely

Should there be an amnesty, bearing in mind that some people have been fined large sums of money and are now in despair, one at least losing his home as a result? This in comparison with the much smaller amounts imposed on MPs and their staff who blatantly broke the rules?

Read Toriano's story and compare this with the £50 fine that Boris Johnson received for attending one 🤔 party.
Is this fair?
