If PH has libelled anyone let them take him to court. Piers Morgan is a slimeball.
I think someone got out of the wrong side of the bed
Great news that the Mirror Group have had to pay up and pay Harry's legal costs. It must be great news for the 100 other cases that are still outstanding. It should never have taken this long.

A witness at the Kray Twins trial did the same lines of work
I already said that I agree with Casdon and others about the phone hacking. Phone hacking of anyone’s phone is not only reprehensible but also illegal. The court found that on the balance of probabilities, phones were hacked and compensation has been awarded. Good.
However, a separate but pertinent point is that Prince Harry chose to reveal confidential information about his family, who are actually unable to sue him or hit back in any way (of course they could if they chose to , but for privacy reasons are unlikely to feel able to do that, and in any case, possibly some of the things he revealed are likely true) and he made huge profits from those revelations.
I agree that Harry and others whose phones were hacked deserve their compensation completely. But how are the family of Harry going to be compensated? Money is pretty well irrelevant to them, and the resulting publicity would be highly embarrassing for them and not great for the country.
Harry’s morals, in my opinion, are pretty much near the level of those of Piers Morgan. There’s not a lot to choose between them.
It was the judge that was certain that Morgan was complicit. Having sat through weeks of evidence, I’d wager he knew a lot more about the case than we do.
GN has reached a new low level when people start supporting Piers Morgan.
It's interesting to read what he actually said about phone hacking
I want to reiterate, as I’ve consistently said for many years now – I’ve never hacked a phone or told anybody else to hack a phone. And nobody has produced any actual evidence to prove that I did.
Which isn't saying that he didn't know about the hacking, just that he didn't do it or tell others to do it.
Yes let’s see if he sues Piers Morgan. As he is so certain.
Then Harry will sue

Piers Morgan’s statement was perfect. Succinct and outlining Harry’s complete hypocrisy.
And blatantly disregarding his own reprehensible behaviour over hacking. Is that okay?
Has he? Have you seen proof of that? If so, I haven’t. Only Harry’s word. And given that Harry is so litigious why hasnt he sued Piers Morgan. Harry is trying to shut Piers down because Piers knows rather a lot about Meghan that he wouldn’t want revealed.
It’s in the article Glorianny posted to start the thread, so yes, I have.
No it’s not. The quote is from Harry via his lawyer. As I say it is not proven that Piers Morgan personally hacked Harry’s phone. Just that on the balance of probability his phone may have been hacked.
Harry is a hypocrite. A dislikable individual with an equally dislikable wife who was only to happy to suck up to Piers Morgan on her accent up the greasy pole.
There is no allegation that Piers Morgan personally hacked Harry’s phone. He was the editor. If you want to continue living in the fantasy that the editor did not know that his team were wilfully hacking celebrity phones to steal private information to sell papers that’s up to you. Justice Fancourt said that there was convincing evidence that Morgan knew.
Totally agree with you there, Casdon. It's clear that many on here are totally incapable of looking at this with any degree of objectivity.

Yes, the criticism is of Harry, because of his reprehensible, hypocritical behaviour.
Pot, kettle, black.
As I have said already eazybee I am not a fan of Harry. I can see the wood for the trees though, which it seems so many of you can’t because you are allowing your personal feelings about Harry’s behaviour to colour your judgement about a landmark court case which will pave the way for people who have been hacked and had their private lives made public, which in some cases has destroyed their lives. Piers Morgan is in this above his head, and I cannot understand why anybody would support him.

None of that justifies phone hacking though. You can think what you like of Harry (and I'm far from being a fan, by the way!) but he is just as entitled to seek redress for the phone hacking as everyone else who was affected by it.

So, the criticism is to the man the court found to be the victim here. None for the hypocrite Morgan
Casdon, my comment states that I have formed my own opinion of the people involved. I do not elucidate who they are or what my opinion is, but unfair of you to assume I have not read the relevant material.
My second comment is in response to yours concerning the media.
Harry postures as a 'dragon-slayer' ( his words, possibly an indication of the level of his reading material) attacking the media for maliciously invading people's private lives ,when he is doing exactly the same as they are, in publishing confidential information for profit.
A first rank hypocrite.
I just think it’s really important that the media should be brought to account for maliciously invading people’s private lives
I agree.
I also think that it would be much better all round if Prince Harry stopped maliciously invading his family’s private lives for profit and his own sense of revenge.

Harry claimed his family even including his grandmother were
secretly cosying up to the press, this is acceptable by some
Even if that true, it has no bearing on this particular case.
It has much to do with this case
So you think it was acceptable to hack his phone?

Prince William made a sizeable contribution to the Invictis games, and the rest to charity. So strange that Harry can trash his family, invade their privacy, cause his late grandparents immense stress and sadness in their declining years, lie with impunity, all for monetary gain, and that is all ok, but the other way round??!!
