I’m not at all surprised the words were said, it is typical of the attitude of Tory party members.
A few years ago I was asked to help out waitressing at a local Conservative Association dinner, their attitude to the staff was appalling we were treated like skivvies. Overhearing some of their conversations racism, sexism was rife, the lower classes were of no consequence, they were of course personal conversations, but easy to overhear.
The caterer could not find staff for the event the following year.Typical, really. So you're calling every Tory member out as a racist. Your one experience, because you say so doesn't make it true.
Think what you have said is appalling.A fair few of my family are Conservative Party Members.
I find Katie59’s post offensive.
Having been to many Conservative do’s/dinners over the years I do not recognise the situation she describes.
I think the operative word in Katie59's post is 'some'.
She didn't say 'all' the attendees were racist and sexist.
I realise that our right wingers might be feeling rather beleaguered at the moment, but it helps to read what is actually written...
