Lots of black people live in countries that are not in Africa.

They are leaving so presumably they don't want to live there. Many countries in Africa lost white farmers when equality was brought in. Some find it hard to adjust.

No Oreo I'm not laughing I'm actually quite upset by the level of prejudice expressed towards anyone protesting about Gaza, the dismissal of South Africa's expertise, the casual acceptance of Genocide and the unfounded accusations of antisemitism.

There is antisemitism, there is racism, but it is not to be found in the the protest groups. Right wing organisations still flourish and still demonstrate. If only GN posters would target them and leave those protesting about the genocide in Gaza to support Palestinians who have been oppressed by Israel for decades.

The expressions about caring for Palestinian people but refusing to actively support them found on these threads make me despair of the generation I am part of.

No because as I have repeatedly said it is not MY comparison it is the view of many others and in particular the President of South Africa and South African lawyers.

I mentioned South Africa because the concentration camp allegation came from them and the accusations of Genocide are being pursued by their lawyers.
The questioning of this by criticising South African society is simply pathetic.
They have experience of dealing with human rights legislation and with reconciliation.
Having knowledge of International law doesn't mean the society you come from is perfect.

The UK's position on genocide is laughable.

They are a terrorist group but if you can show one example where Hamas has used them as human shields I'll accept that. Just because Israel says they are doing so is not evidence though.
There is evidence that Israel has done all the things to Palestinian children that the UK alleged was genocide when it suited them.

Accusing posters of things they never said and in fact the complete opposite of what they have always said.

Most of us are not limited in our compassion, it is not directed to one side or another and we have often stated our compassion for those suffering in Gaza as well as feeling horror for the barbarism that Hamas perpetrated (and are still perpetrating) on Israelis massacred and captured.

It’s been announced that one of the British hostages has died. Announced by Hamas. The picture they released shows a huge bruise and swelling around one of his eyes. There seems to be a suggestion that the picture was taken about a month ago. Hamas say an Israeli bomb killed him. I expect they would say that though. There seems to be a lack of certainty when he died and how he died. His brother was murdered on 07/10 by Hamas and he and his mother were taken hostage. His mother was released when the women and children were released.

I'm not projecting nor am I being disingenuous.
I made a simple statement about the UK's double standards on children and genocide.
Obviously because it is impossible to refute the accusation
Callistemon21 chose to bring up the 7/10 massacre.
It isn't a reasonable response. It isn't an answer.

So I asked again in more direct terms
As usual the response was a personal attack.

It would be nice if posters could address the subject and stop trying to deflect because they don't like what is the only answer.

Of course it is.
Trying to deflect by bringing up the hostages and 7/10 doesn't change anything.

Yes I think it likely that Hamas would say a bomb killed him, but of course it’s possible they executed him.
We may never know what actually happened.

They will have killed quite a few I expect, anyone who’s less than docile, and any they just fancy beating up and killing.
It’s what they do.God help any good looking women as well.

We know that they have sexually assaulted some of the female hostages. We know that because the released hostages have told us.

Israel shot & killed 3 of the (escaped) hostages at close range because they assumed they were Palestinian, they assumed they were Hamas & they assumed they were an immediate threat to their lives. Quite a lot of wrong assumptions & it does beg the question, when they're shooting to kill Hamas gunmen in these crowded urban situations, how good are they at distinguishing them from civilians? & do they care whether they are anyway? Hamas' actions may put Palestinian children at more risk but the Israeli Government's actions have also put their hostages at more risk. Their welfare was never a high priority of the Israeli government in this war.
