😱
Not very PC is she? Heck.

You must have been watching a different version Marmin - or you’re seriously biased.

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 24-Apr-24 15:01:02

You really need to have seen how she conducted herself throughout. It really wasn’t great. Starmer must be wincing.

Marmin Wed 24-Apr-24 15:00:01

An excellent PMQ for Angela. She totally outflanked and flummoxed poor Dowden with her opening remarks. Dowden clearly had no plan B and flailed his way through. Some on here need to watch again with a degree of objectivity.

No I didn't.

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 24-Apr-24 14:56:29

That was to MissA.

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 24-Apr-24 14:56:09

Did you watch PMQs?

Rockyroad Wed 24-Apr-24 14:55:37

The calibre of our politicians these days is appalling. She’s a disgrace.

Cossy Wed 24-Apr-24 14:55:35

Personally I think MOST MP’s on all sides of the house need to wind their necks in and start behaving like professionals a work rather than primary school children in the playground!

The usual type of insult.
No losing it.

Wyllow3 Wed 24-Apr-24 14:52:45

Ditto glass house throw stones.

Cossy Wed 24-Apr-24 14:51:40

I haven’t seen it (yet) but I like her bluntness, but to ā€œlose itā€, and not be in control is just unprofessional, she is, after all, at work!

She loves the insults doesn't she, I remember she called someone scum in the House of Commons, perhaps she should take a long hard look in the mirror she is after all under police investigation.

Or, as the police put it, there are some allegations "knocking about" which they're said does not mean that she has actually acted illegally.

Casdon Wed 24-Apr-24 14:49:37

For example, Johnson calling Starmer ā€˜Captain Crasheroonie Snoozefest’? I’m sorry, but the pot really is calling the kettle black here?

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 24-Apr-24 14:47:56

I have been saying that for ages. She is an embarrassment.

twinnytwin Wed 24-Apr-24 14:45:42

I've just watched it and it horrifies me that Angela Raynor could be representing our country on the world stage as Deputy Prime Minister if Labour gets elected. Shocking.

Germanshepherdsmum Wed 24-Apr-24 14:40:50

He is a gentleman. She is no lady.

Sparklefizz Wed 24-Apr-24 14:36:52

What would people be saying if Sunak had personally insulted Angela Rayner? All hell would break lose!!

When people resort to personal name-calling, they are scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Her name is Rayner.

Wyllow3 Wed 24-Apr-24 14:28:56

Two Raynor videos - worth watching both to see context

ā€œThe loserā€

All within usual cross party stuff to me

(you have to put up with an advert before each video)

I don’t dislike her. I quite admire her pugnacious chutzpah (are they the same thing? unnecessary duplication? šŸ¤”) but I think as a senior Government official in waiting - even Deputy PM ) she needs to tone it down a little.

lalta Wed 24-Apr-24 14:20:02

a case of sour grapes me thinks

Iam64 Wed 24-Apr-24 14:19:36

I thought she was in control in her own Angela way. When Corbyn appointed her to Education I was unimpressed. I’ve grown to like her, something I didn’t expect. I feel she’s grown into her role

ronib Wed 24-Apr-24 14:16:27

Every time I hear Sunak speak on tv, I am surprised by his public facing approach. It’s almost as if he doesn’t quite believe in himself as prime minister?
Angela Rayner is not my idea of a trustworthy politician and I think it’s going to be a depressing five years ahead however.

maddyone Wed 24-Apr-24 14:13:14

I didn’t see it, only just found out from this thread, as I’ve just returned from the hairdresser.
If she’s to be in government soon, she needs some lessons in acceptable behaviour in my opinion.
