The gutter? Wow.
So we shouldnât have politicians whoâve been dealt a very poor hand in life but have managed to pull themselves up by sheer hard work and determination? They seem the best sort to me.
I admire her, for what itâs worth. I heard a talk she gave at our local literature festival last year and she got a huge ovation (and no, I donât think we were all raving lefties). She came over as sincere, passionate, intelligent and determined to improve the lot of the poorest in society - and sheâs certainly been there, done that.
Iâd never condone picking on peopleâs physical appearances - she needs to work on that. Though I do have a pint-sized DH and a pint-sized DD and it made them laugh. Believe me, theyâve heard a lot worse.
