He might resign today apparently. Who will take over?
Kate Forbes?
John Swinney?

I dont deal in fantasies about Scotland I KNOW the facts.Unlike you Urm with your obsessive hatred of all things Independence ....Scotland has been financing England for centuries ...well before oil .Please do some accurate research

Everything l've seen you write is a 'fantasy' much of which countered with the truth.

Unlike you Urm with your obsessive hatred of all things Independence

Even that post is the opposite of the truth!
Unless I'm mistaken (of course I could be) I thought Urmstongran was in favour of an independent UK?

^I don’t deal in fantasies about Scotland ^ 🤣🤣🤣

I know! The irony!
😂

The leadership race will be interesting.

The SNP will try to do a deal with another party - Alba? As it can’t continue as it is, with no support from Greens, Labour or Tory.

I do think it is a party of nationalism but not of ruling, so I think it will soon fail.

The S.N.P are the elected party in Scotland and it’s wrong to say they hate the English as stated by a poster up thread.

I just had to reply to that comment as I find it so silly.

puddycat simple.Westminster still holds over 70% of the powers over a "devolved" Scotland so they make many decisions that affect us north of the border. They collect all but a very small portion of taxes ,and spend it ON OUR BEHALF ...or so they say.If they just let go before they drain us dry as they did with other countries we'll be fine but they'll fight dirty to keep us as has been proven time after time.
It cant be a coincidence that the top posts in PoliceScotland are ALL held by English officers....appointed by Jack our colonial overseer in St Andrews house...you know the Tory that leads our civil service! Go figure.I doubt if England would like to be treated this way .Or maybe I'm wrong you all appear to like being treated like half wits!!

Is there no end to the fantasies you spread.
The previous Chief Constable who retired last year, Iain Livingstone, is Scottish born and bred - it was him who set up Operation Branchform investigating the missing SNP funds.
The current T/Assistant Chief Constable Professionalism and Assurance
T/Assistant Chief Constable Stuart Houston
has policed in Scotland since May 1996.
England has a massively larger pool of senior officers to recruit from than Scotland.
Many other Scottish senior officers worked for Northern Ireland police force, not England and not English.

Thank you for setting the record straight OldFrill.

Urmstongran Mon 29-Apr-24 18:03:02

Turns out the SNP hate England not quite as much as they hate each other,

Pass that popcorn …

I wonder what his next position will be?
White, White, White. He certainly knows his colours.
Paint salesman perhaps?🤣

With a side hustle of sexing chickens?

How about a nice Mac as a leader? Wearing a kilt with one of those dagger thingos.

Mac the knife?
Now we will likely both be reported for ‘hate speech’😄

Not Sunak because the country needs stability. This is the highest priority. There will be an election this year and for the sake of stability it's best to stay as he is.

I’m no Sunak supporter but we def do NOT want anymore PMs prior to the GE!

In the end who ever gets the job, SNP are a minority, have they really got a mandate to continue? they need the others.

maddyone Mon 29-Apr-24 13:08:30

Theres no reason at all that Scottish SNP supporters or even just Scottish GN members should try and stop those who live outside Scotland from commenting on Scottish politics

Of course there isn’t.
Everyone comments on what happens in Israel or on Donald Trump.
People are free to comment on whatever they like without attempts to shut them down because someone else doesn’t like what they’re saying.
