I cannot watch this. It would send my blood pressure sky high. I hope she gets skewered good and proper. I don’t know how this ‘Christian’ woman slept at night. She ought to be in prison.

Apparently there was a quiet burst of laughter in the hearing room when Paula Vennells told the inquiry she was sometimes criticised for being “too curious”.

Yeh, right.

Watching the people’s faces in the split screen @Fenny Compton shaking their heads over the responses Vennells is making..must be very difficult to watch and hear what she is stating 😳

A lying, manipulative, hypocrite. How can she preach in a church knowing how she has lied and destroyed so many lives.

I am listening on BBC 5 live so I can’t read any body language. She seems like a cold fish.

Its interesting to turn the sound down and watch her responses purely by her body language, you know when a question is difficult by her twitching and fidgeting. I am not a body language expert, but do have an interest in the subject, i would be fascinated by an experts assessment of her 'performance'.

I agree with those who believe she should face criminal prosecution.

Knowingly destroying the lives of so many people should be punishable by a prison sentence. She and others lied and covered up the truth while innocent people lost their jobs, some their homes and others even went to prison.
A truly despicable woman.

All I can think is, how, just how, do people in charge get away with lying, cover ups, contempt for employees and customers, and get huge salaries to do so. Sorry, not sorry, is what I’m getting here. Those poor poor Post office employees. How did it take a TV programme, a decent solicitor, MP and a postmaster with determination to get this investigated. Paula Vennells and her henchmen and women need to be jailed and stripped of their assets to see how it feels. It’s a national disgrace.

Scandalous, Jason Beer is excellent very professional she can have no criticism of his treatment to her, so glad he is asking the difficult questions but her responses are woeful.
She definitely should have criminal charges against her and others at the Post Office, victims should not only be adequately compensated but those responsible jailed.

I’m rather fascinated by her choice of clothing and wonder if she (subconsciously?) regards herself as some kind of victim?

MayBee70 yes she is coming across a bit like a victim...and the KC Jason is doing an excellent job and I like his voice and manner..

Please acknowledge the role of Private Eye in raising this subject early and often, and Radio 4, before it was made into a television programme.
I guess these were not Ms Vennell's reading or listening choices.

Have been watching this morning, am glad that she’s being put through this as she deserves it.So many ‘can’t remember’ and
‘Don’t recall’ as expected but Jason Beer KC is brilliant.
Wish I didn’t have to go to work now as I would like to hear it all but will record it.
