I'm completely on the side of the poor sub postmasters but it is extremely uncomfortable watching that lawyer tearing into her. He seems to be enjoying it sadistically and showing off. It leaves me feeling sorry for her. (Which I shouldn't be)

It would be an excuse not to prosecute, if it was felt she couldn't be tried fairly.

Given the questions, her responses and her general demeanor, I suspect she must be a suicide risk.

I did wonder and hope not, however she failed.

However, we must never forget those who did commit suicide because of the actions of the Post Office management.

At present I have no idea what criminal offence she might be charged with. I haven’t heard enough of her testimony and I wasn’t a criminal lawyer.

She is past retirement age and probably has a good pension, so she can do what other disgraced business women/men do when they retire, either swan off to some other country to live in a villa in the sun or retire to a rural community and cultivate roses.

She also has the protection of always having worked under her maiden name, she can just start using her married surname, so that no one knows who she is.

Im enjoying watching the barristers dissecting her slice by slice. Death by a thousand cuts. BUT as GSM says what would she be charged with? No one is ever going to employ her and her life as a public figure is over. Unless she decided to write a book.

I haven’t heard enough to know about the legal document but what I have heard has been quite astonishing.

It seems very patchy on her own decisions and actions but oddly detailed when it comes to chucking the blame on someone else.

Like the infamous legal document for the board meeting discussed yesterday. She remembers the lawyer "Susan" stopping her in the corridor to discuss legal concerns and the conversation. She remembers the Chair of the Board, Alice, not wanting Susan present so Paula herself was to present the paper leaving Susan on a chair outside. But once inside the boardroom her memory is vague ... she cannot recall how she presented the legal document ... cannot remember the discussion among the board .... anyway she's not a lawyer and wouldn't understand these things (despite agreeing to present a legal paper at board level) .....

Yes, you are right and yet she has been ordained. I am not a 'pollyanna', i spent 20 years in the commercial corporate sector before moving to the 3rd sector and have witnessed her ilk in action. I did not (realistically) expect her to come out and admit she lied/covered it up. I suppose i had expected some genuine contrition, a level of honesty and there has been none. I cannot wrap my head around that.

Its interesting to turn the sound down and watch her responses purely by her body language, you know when a question is difficult by her twitching and fidgeting. I am not a body language expert, but do have an interest in the subject, i would be fascinated by an experts assessment of her 'performance'.

I agree with those who believe she should face criminal prosecution.

From what I have heard of her testimony so far - and it’s only bits here and there - I don’t understand how on earth she was appointed to this job.

I am finding this incredibly sad. Her lies are unravelling. All i can think about are those lives destroyed by her and her cohort.
