People complain about the calibre of politicians, but it’s really not surprising that more people don’t come forward to serve their constituents- there are no depths to which the press won’t sink when it comes to discrediting them (particularly those on the left), and all too many people lap it up and revel in the gossip.

I wouldn’t be happy if my son and DIL had a porn channel or whatever this is, but there would be nothing I could do to prevent them, as they are their own people. We bring up our children the best we can, but they are their own people who make their own decisions, whether we approve of them or not. It would be different if AR were funding this enterprise, or if she had a role in the films, but there is no suggestion that this is the case. If what the son has done is illegal he should be prosecuted, but even if that happened it wouldn’t mean that AR should be vilified. It’s not her fault.

Iam64 I am seriously worried about any politician with family links to the sex industry and I don’t agree that this is an attack on Angela Rayner. Voters are allowed to form their own opinions about the sort of people they want in power over them. I happen to hanker after some return to normality in politics after the Boris Johnson era and so far it’s very elusive.

It's not a porn site it's Guido Fawkes on YouTube telling his readers about the site that Rayners son is on and no nor have I looked at a porn site perish the thought no thanks.

Are you thinking of USA ronib? The only significant thing I can remember about a politician’s child being reported in the UK was Mark Thatcher being lost in the desert, I don’t think it’s the norm to delve into the lives of adult children of politicians here.
