Such an inspiration, not least because of the fantastic friends he had who supported him. Rest in peace Rob, and sincere condolences to your loving family and friends.

So so sad. He was a real inspiration.

Two of our daughters have a friend who has this dreadful disease. He has set up a charity to raise money for research. Our girls, who have both inherited my fear of heights, recently abseiled of a viaduct to raise money.

RIP Rob Burrow.
I have just heard on the news that Rob and Kevin raised 15 million pounds in the last 5 years for MND.
Rob had such a big heart, thinking of fellow sufferers not himself.
A very special person and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

What a terrible illness MND is and how very brave Rob and his family have been by raising awareness while dealing with it.
He was so young as are his family.
They should be very proud of him.
RIP Rob.
Sincere condolences to his family and wonderful friends.

He was a great model for all sorts of reasons, as were his family and friends.

He gave so much hope to so many people.

May perpetual light now shine upon him.

Very sad news, an appalling disease, a brave man. RIP.

I was diagnosed with MND in June 2010. Fortunately for me, this diagnosis proved to be incorrect and some eight months later was revised to IBM, a similar illness in terms of its effects but with a better prognosis with regard to life span.

Everytime I have seen Rob Burrow on TV I was reminded of what we, as a family, lived through during those eight months. I have nothing but admiration and respect for the whole Burrows family. Truly inspirational.
