Brexit has been a failure. Even Farage says that. 🙄
ALPHABETICAL FOOD AND DRINK (Jan 26)
Hmm.
Standing as a Reform MP after all?
Emigrating to America to canvass for Trump?
Joining the Tory party?
None of the above?
I shall tune in out of curiosity.
Brexit has been a failure. Even Farage says that. 🙄

Frustration and helplessness are understandable but every dictatorship in history has started by creating fear of "the others" and "them", and whipping it up with rhetoric. Farage's background is very far right - BNP, pro Enoch Powell, anti semitism, anti muslim.
We saw it in the Brexit poster that he was forced to withdraw.
Farage "heroically" standing - but did Brexit stop migration anyway!
No Brexit didn't stop migration because the Torys let us down and Brexit was not implemented properly, they had the power an 80 seat majority to do anything they wanted and they let Britain down. The Brexit Party stood aside to help them gain that majority and they squandered it.

You can bet if his wife or mother needed urgent care he would pay privately for that treatment, he’s not going to be waiting years for treatment! & anyone that doesn’t believe that are deluding themselves
I agreeMt60 as if, if I had the money I'd pay to go private and beat the queue who wouldn't, oh Starmer mmmm although he says/does anything to gain favour with the voters you only have to remember the crass knee bending photo with Rayner to Black Lives Matter good grief. He thinks some women can have penises lol. Remember Dianne Abbot oh yes OK for the boys in her constituency to go to a state school but not her boy no off to the private school he went pronto, hypocrites the lot of them and Conservatives they are no better, a complete overhaul of our Parliamentary system is needed ie Reform Party might not happen this time but mark my words a change is coming.
How dare he be there. On a day when Europe is showing solidarity and strength against the threat from Russia he is someone that has made it his life’s ambition the split Europe. Thank goodness other countries had the sense not to follow our self destructive example.
Yes cheap is the correct description.
He’s swanning around in a tank in France today; cheap publicity stunt on such a somber day of remembrance. Despicable man.

Someone said today that their Portillo moment at the election will be if the Tories win Clacton.
Amen to that.
Farage disciples aren't interested in facts. Their response is emotional and derives from fear and a sense of losing their Country to others. Farage, of course, feeds on that mindset.

Migration is at an all time high- loads wandering around our lovely village up north- to say they are landing down south. My niece lives in a posh area of the Midlands & didn’t even know the hotel near by ( in its own grounds was full of migrants) farage brought that to our attention! She went digging & found out he was telling the truth!
What point are you trying to make? "loads" Loads of what?
Please can people try to comprehend, the people seeking asylum/ refugees who are housed in these hotels are not" living it up"
Somebody in government decided ( for whatever reason) that this would be a good idea. They then employed a multi billion company called SERCO to over see the process. Hotel owners saw the pound signs and signed up.
Its big, big business and big money.
There are all sorts of human right abuses going on in these places. Children denied an education " games " of spin a bottle, the winning child finds out where he/ she will be placed.
Children going missing, whole families disappearing overnight.
Suicides are hushed up, self harm is rife.Precious items stolen from residents. Residents roughed up by staff. Mind games, residents told to pack a bag and given a post code. Families dumped by the side of the road. Families housed in squats full of drug paraphanalia and used condoms.
I know there are GN members who like facts and accurate information and I am quite able to provide this if it helps.
In other words, what policy does Reform actually have on reducing migrants, apart from condemning it loudly - its not as if anyone is happy with the current situation in so many ways but at least have a policy.
Farage wants the Navy to push the boats back.
why not possible
www.navylookout.com/why-its-not-the-royal-navys-job-to-stop-migrant-boats/
He also has just ditched Reform policy on sending migrants abroad to Brit territories but. "give me 12 hours to consider"

I suggest you head over to the thread ‘Following the Polls’ to follow and participate in the discussion about polls, because it’s clear that the outcome of one poll is pretty meaningless, it’s the cumulative effect of lots of polls by different pollsters using different methodologies which tells us what the mood of the country is.
And I’m pretty sure he’s divorced now?

I’m not entirely sure what your point is? We all know migration, both entering illegally and coming legally, is at an all time high, we don’t need Nige to point it out to us.

Because she didn’t believe me, so had to look for herself
What you can be pretty sure of is that the Home Office isn't paying the hotel's normal accommodation rates, they'll be paying much less, and that the asylum seekers won't have any access to most of the facilities the hotel has. They won't be experiencing 5 star treatment and facilities (or whatever star rating the place might have). Of course, Farage won't be telling you that bit...
And the hotel owner must be finding government payment more profitable than normal hotel business otherwise they wouldn't be doing it.

Mt61 absolutely agree with you! They are only 2 points behind the Tories in the polls apparently. Shows how much support Nigel has, just not on here!
👍🏻
Just out of interest, what “truth” is good ole Nige speaking?
Nobody will say. They'd have to work damn hard to formulate an answer that wouldn't be picked up by the mods.
I suppose shop lifting is ahandy smoke screen.

If she had to go digging, why the fuss?
I hope the article is right in that it says many of the new Conservatives elected reflect a characteristic of the British people for moderation not extremes. Interesting parallels between Corbyn/Labour Party 2019 and current situation on the right.
What a mess indeed.
thank you for posts on the ECHR above - very moving, Churchill's "never again".
