Hmm.
Standing as a Reform MP after all?
Emigrating to America to canvass for Trump?
Joining the Tory party?
None of the above?

I shall tune in out of curiosity.

Urms maybe my prayers have been answered and he is taking a one-way ticket somewhere, anywhere.

keepingquiet Mon 03-Jun-24 13:51:00

I think now Trump has been convicted this man has nothing to gain from backing him and has decided to chance his arm as an MP, although anyone would be crazy to vote for him.

The man is nothing but a chancer, creaming all the allowances and benefits of being a EMP without even attending meetings. He is now maybe hoping he can get elected and similarly claim whatever he can from parliamentary privileges without doing a thing to help his constituents.

Why the media court this odious man I really have no idea. I certain;y won't be watching his s**t show.

Maybe he’s standing against Yvette Cooper in her Leave voting marginal constituency!

Yongy Mon 03-Jun-24 13:54:01

If Farage announced that he was taking a one way ticket to the other side of the universe, I would cheer.

Urmstongran Mon 03-Jun-24 13:56:30

Many would Yongy!

“Jeremy Hunt: My seat's on a 'knife edge'” - maybe this scalp?

GrannyGravy13 Mon 03-Jun-24 14:28:01

I think he is going to stand as a Reform candidate, I am interested to see where.

I have seen it suggested that it might be Richmond, N Yorks. 😁

BlueBelle Mon 03-Jun-24 14:42:22

Hopefully the announcement will say he’s off to live alone on a desert island with no Wi-Fi

LizzieDrip Mon 03-Jun-24 14:47:42

What a narcissist! How important does he think he is to announce an ‘emergency announcement’? He’s desperately trying to turn this election into ‘The Nigel Farage Show’. The media shouldn’t be giving in to him but, of course, they can’t resist a showman - even a sh**show man like NFangry

Wyllow3 Mon 03-Jun-24 14:48:29

Wonder what Tice really thinks of him?

madeleine45 Mon 03-Jun-24 14:48:57

Thanks for the warning, I shall put radio 3 on and enjoy some music!

GrannyGravy13 Mon 03-Jun-24 14:53:27

Reform Party were already giving their Election Broadcast today at 16.00.

Urmstongran Mon 03-Jun-24 14:55:11

I admit to being curious. It killed the cat, I know.

Dinahmo Mon 03-Jun-24 15:10:08

He's going to join the Tories. They will find him a safe seat that's being vacated and all those that think he's the bee's knees will vote for him.

Or else he's going to say that it's all lies about Trump.

Urmstongran Mon 03-Jun-24 15:14:27

His opinion about Trump wouldn’t constitute ‘an emergency (his words) announcement’ though.
🤔

Oh we wish!

I hope he does, she will trounce him. I suspect though that if he does stand it will be in a current Tory seat with a dodgy MP, as he’s got more chance of winning that than any red wall seat. I’d be surprised if he wins any seat though, he is, as keepingquiet said, a chancer.

zakouma66 Mon 03-Jun-24 15:20:03

What do his fans like about him? Other than the fact that he goes to Dover and counts illegals. Absolutely vile.

Whitewavemark2 Mon 03-Jun-24 15:22:35

The point being though under international law, which we are signed up to 🙄. Asylum seekers are not illegal.

Grantanow Mon 03-Jun-24 15:23:28

Pray for Clacton!

zakouma66 Mon 03-Jun-24 15:24:23

I fear that point is lost on many who don't want more " of them"

Hence their adoration of Frage.

Yvette Cooper has a very slim majority c.2k votes. Plus it was a Leave constituency and she was rubbishing those who voted for it. Put Farage in there to set the cat amongst the pigeons maybe as voters have long memories when they feel they’ve been diddled.
