Sophy Ridge would have been a better choice to question them. I think it’s been an attempt to cover too much ground in the time available - Sunak is a soundbite man, Starmer isn’t. Hopefully the next debate will get more into the nitty gritty.

Rishi has been on the attack since the beginning. Starmer has nothing to offer.

I agree GrannyGravy, though I really want to get behind Kier, he's not getting his points across!

Kier seems to deviate and constantly go back to i was crown prosecutor

Rishi is winning

I started watching it but had to turn it off. I found it quite stressful. The format didn’t seem to be working and I don’t think they were given enough time to answer the questions. ( also my living room tv stopped working; I think the Humax box came out in sympathy with me and had a mini breakdown).

I don’t think Julie Etchingham keeps control very well, didn’t think she did at the last GE either.

Both shouting over each other.

Going to bed soon, but Rishi is on top of the debate.Keir looks unsure and nervous.

Yes. I don’t think it will change anybody's minds. I wish Sunak would stop talking over people though, it’s annoying.

I was. I thought it was dreadful. The format doesn’t work, there isn’t enough time to develop sensible and detailed answers, the moderation was weak, and the whole thing just felt like it wouldn’t help anyone undecided.
