The tactical vote in Clacton must be for Giles Watling to retain his seat - for the sake of the constituency and the work he has done there. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Does anyone really think that Farage would work hard IN the constituency for his constituents?

I've seen the list but tactically....

I can't decide how to vote but feel I should. But for the first time ever we have had a glut of leaflets from a wide range of candidates - Tory, Labour, Lib-dem, Green, Independent, Reform, Monster Raving Looney, Communist, Heritage and probably one or two I can't recall. I'm impressed but still undecided.

Some people on here want to understand why a supporter of a Party living in a constituency which is die-hard Blue or die-hard red.....would be obliged to vote tactically in order to deny the-big-Party another Seat at Westminster.....and some of those people can't understand why that individual might feel unhappy ? ? wow...

Actually, I didn’t distinguish between any party. There are some professionally dressed members ( and that is men and women) in all parties. There are some pleasantly modulated voices in all parties. There are a few who are listening but usually on their mobiles. This does of course indicate that there isn’t much worth listening to perhaps? But who on earth could listen to Thangam Debonnaire for any time at all- shrieking voice, spouting venomous spiteful rubbish- she’d be better bringing her cello and playing that - so much calmer and something she is really good at. I just think that the whole picture of the House of Commons - say at Prime Minister’s question time- is simply a ghastly one - as I said before- unprofessional, sloppy, and unworthy of representing their voters. What a picture to display to the rest of the world?

I did. I didn’t want to break an ankle jumping to conclusions though.

Tactical voting is absolutely essential until such time we change or electoral system from FPTP to PR and actually become a de.ocracy.

Seemingly it doesn’t matter anymore GSM. You can dress how you like as long as you do the job. I agree with you though.

Not long before our HSBC branch closed for good I was shocked to see two female staff wearing tatty old jumpers. One had to come round and help me with the machine and she had filthy old trainers on too. HSBC staff used to wear dark, patterned shirts and dark trousers or skirts.

In our surgery this afternoon I saw two female members of staff wearing shorts to work. I think they came from the pharmacy.

I was also thinking of ( obviously not a woman but in terms of embarrassing appearances) Michael Fabricant.

Sigh....

I really would hope we'd past the days when women are judged by the way we dress, appearance within reason of course as to occasion.

You’re not alone. I will also vote Conservative. I’m glad you have raised the unprofessional dress of the Labour women in the HoC - I have long thought that if they want to be taken seriously they should at least try to look the part. Tin helmet on!
