You’re not alone. I will also vote Conservative. I’m glad you have raised the unprofessional dress of the Labour women in the HoC - I have long thought that if they want to be taken seriously they should at least try to look the part. Tin helmet on!

I shall continue to vote conservative. There are the good the bad and the ugly in every party , but no way can I vote for spite, envy and greed. It seems the more there are in any party , the worse the quality. The Members of the previous House of Commons frankly, looked a dreadful mess- untidy, most on their mobiles, unprofessional, sloppy dressing by a lot of the women, horrible shrill voices, men with ill fitting suits - I despair - why should I listen to any of them and I won’t. None of their wonderland promises can be kept - there is no money. Perhaps like Alice, I should disappear down a rabbit hole.

I voted for Blair’s government, only because the unions said they would keep the social services care homes opened, which shortly after we closed one by one. I went back to voting Tory which I continued to do so- they have F the country right up! Labour will carry on doing the same! Opening the borders like Biden for all. Rayner has said every town has to take an influx of illegal migrants- they will shaft our pensions to pay for this/ so voting REFORM

varian I agree that many new MPs start out with honesty, principles and altruistic motives. I saw a report of an interview with a disillusioned MP several years ago. She described how, as soon as they take their seat, they are whipped in to toe the party line, whatever their actual opinions or beliefs. Woe betide them if they don't conform. They are shunned, ostracised and lose the party whip. That's how the House of Commons operates.

She was very ignorant not to realise how her party system operated before being elected.

Calendargirl If everyone who was dissatisfied with the shower who run the major parties spoiled their ballot paper, that would certainly have an impact. Let's all write NONE OF THE ABOVE! X at the bottom of our ballot papers and see how they like that at Westminster!

Well, I think the vastly rich Sunak with his even richer wife might have thought he'd like a bit of political power, and that it might be amusing to become a politician and - as has happened - go down in history as a British PM. And sometimes, as a politician, one has inside knowledge, and the ability to help 'friends' that could result in making even more money? Or maybe he was guided by Tory idealism to complicate his life of luxury by making efforts to lead the Benighted British to the Promised Land of Conservative heaven. Stranger things have happened.

The proof of the pudding will be if he stays as a politician or not after the election and how long for.

Q. Do your bright children or grandchildren like the idea of University Education? Unless they pay more- much more, and equally financially match what other parents from elsewhere can give to the UK university of their choice- forget it.
So I really don't know which party to vote for- they all ( the four major parties including the Greens) want to build thousands of new dwellings across the country, whilst abandoning the Inner -City derelict areas & building over fields instead. All four parties want to bring-in the families of the many low-skilled people who mainly work in service industries, the night-time/fast & unhealthy food industry economy, or the National Health. (So that's Burgers and Obesity-Treatnents all in one package)
Meanwhile the U.K. gets more and more reliant on food imports- because it grows less & less.

I always vote, and in the past once drove from London to Nottingham to vote and back again as it was an unexpected trip to london and didnt have a postal vote. I am prepared to got to live meetings and put my two pennorth in and find out information I wan to know but dont usually watch it on the tv as it drives me mad when the politician never answers the question asked but ploughs on saying what they want to say.! I check up on things , find out information I want to help me decide who I wish to vote for . I believe if you vote you are then entitled to complain or whatever once the decisions are made. If you dont vote you have no right to moan about whatever happens as you did not play your part. And I speak as someone who has lived under Assad and Salazar so appreciate the right to vote. I am pleased to say that I have been away this last two weeks and was in a very good political free zone!!If you wanted to find out things you could but you were not forced to spend the evenings either furious or fed up or whatever. So will be there on the voting day . Whether there is anyone left who is not a liar, cheat, selfish and untrustworthy I dont know!!

I think it is very sad when the choice is between Bad and Worse, and you have to choose Bad to keep Worse out! There's no-one I want to vote for. Our Tory MP is an entitled Boris Babe, our Labour candidate is full of promises that he cannot possibly keep, and I think is woke-on-steroids. I'm actually toying with the idea of not voting, which in a way is shocking, as people died to give me the privilege. And that is also very sad.

I agree. For instance, Sunak could have made vast amounts of money by carrying on being an investment banker. Why on earth would he become an MP if it wasn’t to do some good?
