To be able to buy your way into an election to this extent - something very wrong here. (Whichever side) Can't help feeling - money could be spent on schools to update equipment or to help in the lack of medical care in the USA.

As a humanist I do have respect for those of faith. Life can be hard and faith can sustain and offer hope to some, and upbringing in a religious household can have long lasting influence.

I just think science has a more logical explanation for life but of course doesn’t explain all.

However I think actions speak louder than words - as they say.

Melania has issued a statement. It's quite touching really.

Social media has a huge part to play in all this. People get so whipped up and can say shocking things thinking they're on the right side.

Jack Black has had to cancel his tour after Kyle Gass shouted out what many have been saying. Shame he missed or something along those lines.

Political hate speech is now being curtailed. Both Republicans and Democrats will have to watch their words very carefully.

Yes, so do I. I hate Trump and all he stands for, but what a strange childhood Barron must have had. The ice queen for a Mother, Trump for a Father with all the disgusting revelations about his sexual abuse, rape, and friendship with Epstein etc.

You cannot comment with certainty on a mother's relationship with her child unless you have knowledge the rest of us don't.

Of course as a believer in God he will insist that divine intervention saved the day!

It’s the same as when friends and relatives ( and indeed strangers sometimes) are asked to pray for a seriously ill person. If he or she then survives it’s said that the prayers had been answered, rather than acknowledging that medical intervention played a big part.

Anyway maybe the believers are right. As a non believer, I can’t prove God doesn’t exist, and faith undoubtedly does bring a huge amount of comfort to some.

Whilst I would not advocate killing anyone, as it is both against the law and also against the person who commits the murder and has to come to terms with taking another persons life, I consider Trump reaps what he sows! He encouraged people to storm the government and to behave in a despicable manner. and take the law into their own hands He thinks if he says something isnt true enough times it becomes so. You cannot encourage people to behave in an illegal and appalling way, and then complain when another person behaves in exactly the way you have encouraged others to behave. I find it deeply worrying that there are people in the USA who actually wants this delusional, self serving, arrogant ignorant person to be their president This does not bode well for the future.
