Why would the government’s position on Gaza change after yesterday? The court has no ability to change anything, and it has no power.
The reason why Israel/Gaza is in the situation it’s in is purely because of 07/10. Terrorism.

I don’t seem to remember us,at the time of the IRA bombings on mainland Britain, bombing Ireland into oblivion because of it. Which is what Israel is doing to Gaza.

Policing our borders is not an abhorrence Urms, but I do find it abhorrent that Farage champions the cause of a known misogynist (currently with charges against him) who believes that women are men's property - a man that Farage thinks is a good "role model" for young men.

At the moment, it doesn't matter much - but if Reform ever gained sufficient traction... I would be worried about how that party would conduct itself regarding women. One of their candidates - Lee Anderson - is on record telling a female opponent to "stay out of big-boy politics".

I can see Reform attracting a lot of disaffected young men who haven't made-it up the social ladder, nor had much success with the opposite sex, voting for a party that wants to put wimmin back in their box.

Or, if it did it didn’t matter even though they seem to be obsessed with family values and religion. Don’t they have the Ten Commandments written on the walls of some schools?

The Ten Commandments on the wall are just in Louisiana at the moment , required bible studies in school in Arkansas .

I totally agree that peoples sex lives are their own…UNLESS they are vying to become the President or other positions of POWER. Knowing what we all know about Trumps sex life ( he articulated it so nicely in the recording where he said “you can grab them by the pussy…” etc) …don’t you think that all we know shows a Mans ( or Womans) MORAL character…and you should want better in a President or anyone in a position of power!

The Democrats recently TRIED to put a bill through Congress aiming at exactly that…policing the borders, they know, as well as the Republicans, that the border issues have got out of hand. But what does Trump do? He gives the order to Repubicans who have a slim majority to KILL that bill…which they did…and WHY? Because if the Democrats were seen to be improving things at the border, that wouldn’t help him become President… Oh No …no he wants things to stay as chaotic, or get even worse, so he has a platform to cry “ the Democrats are doing nothing! I will solve it for you!”
Look at what happened to the border when he was in power…a measly few miles of WALL, now rusting and broken easily, thousands of CHILDREN torn away from their families, caged and no documentation, so hundreds still unable to be reunited… Mexico was supposed to pay for that Wall…never happened! And fact check him on all the current LIES that countries are emptying their prisons and insane asylums and sending all to the US! NOT true! Fact check him on the rest too…something like 30,000 lies told just this year alone.

Far right views? You seem to have a very odd sense of what is right and far right but I guess if you listen to the left wing media long enough anyone who disagrees with you is far right.
As for Afghanistan, it wasn’t Trumps war and yes he had plans for an ‘organised’ withdrawal which didn’t take place. But then Biden oversaw the absolute debacle of a withdrawal almost overnight and without warning, causing unnecessary loss of life amongst other things. You really want to go into women’s rights and suppression of speech? With the left basically removing safe spaces for women and the whole suppression of speech (eg anyone mentioning Hunter Bidens laptop before the last election) and cancel culture emanating from the left? Not to mention the removal of parents rights in CA with Newsom’s new Bill. Really? And if you’re talking about abortion rights Trump is leaving that down to individual states.
As for CNN now being right leaning I suggest you check your facts - a quick Google search on their political leanings will tell you that. They have constantly been relaying that Biden was sharp as a tack when anyone with an ounce of sense knows he has been in cognitive decline for probably at least the last two years if not longer. Biden’s mental state ‘seemed’ to come as a real shock to them after the debate with Trump which I think tells you everything you need to know about CNN. Anyway, we are never going to agree so we will have to agree to disagree and I will leave it at that.

My biggest bone to pick here is that you think that women’s right to making decisions about their own body is okay because it is
down to the states ! This has already caused death and injury in those states by forcing women to have babies they don’t want . Including young children . Those that start their periods early , for example and are raped . This is just the start of the retrograde of human rights in the USA. Project 2025 and its proposals will drag it further down the road of modern thinking and rights will be taken away one by one . What does this have to do with Farage ? I thank Nigel Farage for showing basic human compassion towards a friend. And I wish that our Foreign Secretary knew when to keep his mouth shut!

Trump doesn’t need any compassion ( ok I don’t wish him dead, but…) the minute he realised he was safe and only grazed …he stands up and shouts violence… “Fight!” Raising his fist.
Once home the first thing done is to monetise the event by pleading with his supporters for more money after his trauma!

Thank you for that article - it showed that events were at least 6 years in the making and profoundly affected by a whole series of muddled decisions before Biden came to power.

The fact that Farage and the Reform Party only won five seats is due entirely to the vagaries of the first past the post system. The Lib Dems won over seventy seats with only half a million more votes than Reform. Our current government had just 34% of the vote, less than they polled under Corbyn when they lost! The voter turnout was around 60%. Do we honestly think we have a representative government? Like it or not, there is far more support for Reform around the country than is shown by their results and certainly here on GN!

In what world is an MP going away from Friday to Sunday on the weekend in which parliament should have broken up for the summer break to attend a wedding the same as an MP skipping parliamentary business, in the middle of the week?

Its unclear whether Farage has actually seen Trump: this was Friday, I dont know where he is now.
