Well, I have answered the question before, 'What will Labour do when they have won the Election?', which is, continue Tory bashing.

I’ve just watched an incident in which Victoria Atkins was told by the speaker that she had behaved abominably. I would tend to agree, but I thought her performance was rather like a screeching fishwife.
Earlier this week I watched Badenoch give a speech that was deeply unpleasant, patronising, and a classless embarrassment.
It would be a massive mistake for the Tories to even begin to consider her as the next leader, not only for her abysmal parliamentary performances, but also for her failure as a government minister.
Although if they want to loose the next election then I would heartily commend her as the next leader.

Changes are coming.
On July 6, the day after the election results, Hannah White, Director of the Institute for Government tweeted this: Good to hear Keir Starmer say his first remarks to Cabinet were to establish the standards he expects of them, and that he has had an early meeting with Sir Laurie Magnus - the PM’s adviser on ministerial interests - in line with our recommendations.
Those recommendations are listed here:
www.instituteforgovernment.org.uk/press-release/seven-steps-restore-trust-government-ethics
They include:
1. Publish, promote and provide independent enforcement of a new Ministerial Code designed to guide the ethical conduct of ministers.
2. Enable ministers, senior public officials and special advisers to identify, manage and report conflicts of interest, by establishing a fair and robust new system.
She wouldn’t be prepared to play second fiddle to Farage. Her eyes are set on leadership.

I read today that Suella Braverman is rumoured to be considering defecting to Reform. That would be one out of the leadership equation, not that I can imagine Farage and her as political bedfellows.
I can.
Can you? Do you see Suella complying with the Farage way of doing things? I just can’t imagine her not constantly breaking ranks and wanting things her way. She always strikes me as wanting to be in charge.
I really want to see parliamentary standards improve too Whitewavemark2. I bet if you polled the MPs the vast majority of them would want that too. It’s time to move away from the lack of discipline and poor behaviour of the last 5 years, and I include all parties in that statement.

Another Penny Mourdant fan here.
If she hadn't lost her seat, she would have been a shoe-in for leader of the party, if this is the opposition.

I have been hoping that parliamentary standards will improve after the past few years, and imo now is the time to begin.
What happened in parliament this week was disgraceful and both women should be censured.
I think it would be good for UK politics if Mordaunt returned. Not least for party morale, because she is one of the biggest losses the Tories had in terms of her commitment to the future of the party. She’s not a hysterical type, which is also greatly in her favour.
Watching the election night coverage on BBC, Lord Mandelson expressed his disappointment that Penny Mordaunt had lost her seat. He considers her as someone strong enough to stand up to the populist right and take none of Farage’s nonsense.
I read that she may attempt a comeback. I’m thinking if there’s a recall petition soon or a by-election for some other reason she could stand again in another constituency - for now.
As the Reform MPs are breaching Nolan every single day, I can see one or more of them being hauled in front of the Standards Committee soon, suspended and their seats subject to recall so she may get a chance.
I’ve just been reading an article on the BBC - a Tory strategist is of the opinion, that all of the potential candidates for the leadership have significant weaknesses, and in his opinion none will ever make a prime minister. Good to know.
Both Atkins and Badenoch were in contempt. Enough new and old MPs on X expressing their astonishment at the behaviour on the Tories benches so it could go to the Committee of Privileges or the Committee on Standards. I hope so. It’s early in the Parliament and Hoyle needs to make an example of these two rather than let them get away with what they did yesterday.

Angela Rayner - class? Is that a joke?
For once, Angela Rayner did show she has more class than Kemi Badenoch.
Badenoch sets a very low bar though
Indeed! There are few politicians whom I absolutely loathe and she is one of them.

Well, I have answered the question before, 'What will Labour do when they have won the Election?', which is, continue Tory bashing. But thank you for this thread, otherwise I would have misses Kemi Badenoch's stylish performance as she skilfully eviscerated Angela Rayner while exuding style, grace and wit.
I haven't laughed so much since I saw Karen Brockman from Outnumbered demolished by Headmistress Rebecca Front.
Do you mean you think Kemi Badenoch is destined to be the next Tory leader eazybee, or was your comment just a dead cat? If you do think she is, how do you think she can win over the more centrist Tory MPs?

Just goes to show we have different tastes. It made me cringe and just confirmed to me what a vile person she is - and a liar! As I wrote, she adopted exactly that tone with her constituents, which is why her strong majority was decimated. How did a rant like that contribute to the business of government?
Blimey -

"abominably", that's a good choice of word!
She did screech, you're right, and her posture in that clip isn't up too much either.
Not a good look.
Angela Raynor classy😂

It’s certainly irrelevant to this discussion.

Followers on TikTok doesn’t indicate support though Reckarie. My son is Gen Z, he follows Farage because he dislikes him intensely and enjoys laughing at him. They don’t consume media like we do, they like outrageous, weird and sensational.
Absolutely, it doesn’t indicate support at all ! Plus a lot of those followers could be from other countries not just Britain .
