There has never been a male spouse of a US PRESIDENT and if Kamala is nominated as candidate and elected , her husband would be known as FIRST GENTLEMAN … I wish her every success in the election as she will have to face off with bully boy Trump

Harris popularity polling is exactly level with Trump and that is before she has entered the arena as a presidential candidate.

She will have a lot to say about women’s rights etc, and that will attract a huge amount of support.

Trumps VP announced that in a violent marriage the woman should remain in the marriage😲

But - calling him ‘a felon’. Must have missed something there as Trump has not been convicted of anything.

Urmstongran Mon 22-Jul-24 15:53:10

Some background. And there WILL be more …

Kamala Harris:
Slept with her former boss while he was married and then took the role after him.
Deliberately kept evidence that would have exonerated a prisoner out of court
locked up 1,000 of people for cannabis use, while laughing and admitting to using it herself.
She called Joe Biden a racist and then agreed to be his VP.

The 78-year-old is the first former president in US history to be criminally convicted, having been found guilty of falsifying business records.

Trump wants to take the USA back to segregation and no rights for women. He believes in white supremacy.
I have to hope that women will not vote for him. So many years of women fighting for their rights could be obliterated by Trump as Potus.

You would hope that when women go to vote, they will remember that Trump appointed three of the judges who voted to row back Rowe v Wade and thereby released the shit show that is now abortion law in many of the states, with the full repercussions still to come.

Urmstongran, is this some kind of diss the politician competition that only you know the rules of so far?
Seriously, why are you doing this, do you want somebody to leap in and post a bad thing Trump has done for every one Harris has done, like some weird game of Top Trumps? (Freudian slip there grin)

Whitewavemark2 Mon 22-Jul-24 16:04:54

Honestly you do need to show your resources when you post this sort of thing.

Found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, which are felony charges in New York.

Kamala Harris is trying to help those with first time convictions for drug offences by getting them back into education. She also works on rights for women.
Trump doesn't want women to have rights. He believes that white males should reign supreme.

I looked up to see if there was a Trump Top Trumps, and found this:

Sorry, I’ll go away now.

Kamala Harris was very close to Willie Brown.

He helped her to get two influential positions in California.

There is lots of info on the internet.

GrannyGravy13 Mon 22-Jul-24 16:22:08

If she receives the Democratic nomination, I would like her to win.

Unfortunately I do not think that the USA is going to vote for a female POTUS, especially a women of colour.

It wasn’t a criticism from me Syracuse. I was just giving some context.

Except your remark was incorrect and misleading ,

Are you anti democratic as well, GG13.

Or are you spreading tales about Harris just for 'balance'?

Reuters did a fact check on this and her relationship with WB was not a secret, they dated 94/95, a year before he became Mayor. although he was still legally married he had been separated for 10 years. There's an awful lot of rubbish on the internet and the Trump people will no doubt trawl through it.

Iam64 Mon 22-Jul-24 17:00:49

It’s really unedifying to see personal information being posted in an attempt to,put Kamala Harris down. Urmstongran, I may be quoting from another thread so may be deleted/suspended as soon as I’m reported but - didn’t you say you didn’t care about Trump’s personal life. You praised the French for their acceptance of politicians with mistresses.
Yet, here you are, criticising Kamala Harris for things in her personal life. Double standards for women ?

I stress - I don’t anticipate urmston will press the report button, she’ll come back if she’s anything to add🌻

Galaxy Mon 22-Jul-24 17:02:21

It's not tales, that information re the relationship is everywhere. It is of no interest to me either way but its readily available information. Conjecture about the relationship is probably as accurate as calling people rednecks.

Urmstongran Mon 22-Jul-24 17:04:10

Yes fair comment Iam. I acknowledge what you’re saying. Mea culpa for sure.

Btw I’ve never pressed a report button in my life. 😊
Never would!

Galaxy Mon 22-Jul-24 17:04:19

It's not that it is 'tales' per se. It is the spirit in which it was posted that I was querying.

Iam64 Mon 22-Jul-24 17:06:18

Urmston if you ever did report, I’m certain you’d tell the poster you planned to and give clear reasons

It seems the secret report button monitor has been busy. I’ve noticed two regular posters are absent.

Here is the Reuters fact check foxie48 mentioned.
