At least Boris cares about the country. This lot will not address concerns of the people any more than Richie did.
Rishi, our previous PM is called Rishi!
I’m fuming about this, allegedly the English Defence League, attacking a local mosque, police attacked and vehicle set on fire. The police have reiterated ‘ the person under arrest was born in the UK’ and to ignore misinformation on social media.
Those poor residents grieving and in shock without the EDL basically stirring.

Johnson cared about Johnson! He didn’t care about his country and he didn’t appear to care about his two ex wives and any previous children.

Yes. I do admire Boris for at least trying to defend us, even though it was a bumbling attempt.
Defend us from what? Hilarious but not hilarious.

Please, a couple of examples of caring Boris?

I just agreed with you on the thread that was pulled Fleurpepper but it wouldn’t post, must have been in the midst of being pulled I guess.
About the real origins of kristallnacht.
Thanks Oreo

Why didn’t he follow the basic step of asking the government if they could be used before he spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on a weapon which had never been authorised for use in the UK?

The reason Boris wasted all that money on the water cannons that could not be used is that in Germany a man suffered serious eye damage with his eye balls popping out of his fractured sockets after being in the way of a water cannon.
It's a shame more research was not done as a great deal of
UK money was wasted by the conservatives when they had to basically sell them for scrap because they couldn't be used here.
The man is now virtually blind.
I have no idea what he was actually doing other than taking part in a protest against plans for the expansion of the main Stuttgart railway which was broken up by water cannon. A jet hit his eyelids which ripped them apart and also broke the bones around his eye sockets which caused his eyeballs to quite literally fall out.
I'm not sure though that is the reason why the cannons were sold on by Germany. I think it's more likely they'd reached the end of their 'shelf life' and more modern versions were replacing them. Hence the 'knockdown' sale price.
However, if Johnson had done his research - but he was never a man for detail he would have realised that we had never used them, only in Northern Ireland, and that David Cameron was opposed to their use. Theresa May banned the use of them ultimately.
They would also have had to be 'modified' prior to use.
I'm not knowledgeable about these matters but I'd imagine if one of the rioters was seriously injured by a water cannon he or she might have a legitimate case for legal action. Or if the rioters - who don't hesitate to overturn police cars and set them on fire - commandeered one of the water cannons...
Anyway, who knows, I don't, but we are not 'licensed' to use them so presumably this would have to be a decision for the Home Secretary.

Tear gas then.

So, the other thread that mentionned burning libraries has been pulled. Why?
Well done for saying it as it is this woman

When rioters burn libraries, no wonder similar events of the past come to mind.
And well done Darren the doorman- did you hear his wonderful take on these events?

Brighton seems an unlikely venue but who knows? The mods and rockers had running battles there in the past.
If other countries use water cannon or tear gas then maybe we should when it’s necessary too.
It’s all bloody awful! Pretty scary and completely unnecessary!

If we know all about these plans here on Gnet, then surely the 'authorities' will be aware and prepared?
And able to trace and arrest the organisers?
well according to our local newspaper the Sussex Police are ready and waiting, and one would hope some of them are doing something to arrest the perpetrators..MaizieD.. it would make sense but maybe they're skilled with hiding on social media?

The Daily Mail published a list of all the hotels housing immigrants didn’t they?

They're targeting a 'Refugees Welcome Event' next door to Brighton station.. apparently
but also someone has just put a list of other targets up on Nextdoor of loads of other towns including Hastings, Chatham, Chelmsford and Canterbury for tomorrow.. which he claims has been validated.. (It's a copy of a message) and they're all immigration Centres or hubs..
I have friends who volunteer there.

these men don’t respect white women
Surely that sweeping statement breaches guidelines? It’s untrue as well. I live in an area with a large Muslim population. I’ve worked with Muslim families, as well as families of our diverse culture. I’ve been threatened by white British people but genuinely not by Muslim men

The thing with Brighton is that it is a town that is pretty liberal in outlook, and there is very little evidence (well I haven’t seen any) of racism, and a lot of help for people from other communities, asylum seekers etc.
This will be entirely imported apart from some useful idiots jumping on the bandwagon.
Let’s hope they change their minds and stay away or the police stop them at the borders.
Perhaps the rioters are in private accommodation or own their own home (but I suspect not) but the stupid thugs have obviously not considered that a conviction with a sentence over 12 months will mean they will be removed from any Council tenancy agreements, should they be living in social housing.
Is it that the stupid rioters are prepared to lose their jobs and homes (can't pay mortgage in prison) etc to commit such violence, or are "rent a mob" on benefits and being paid cash in hand? I'm sure the police will get to the bottom of it.
As far as the "information" or rumors.... whoever is spreading rumours or facts should be arrested and questioned so the police can find out who is behind these attacks and find out where they got their intelligence.
Our police in Southend were stationed at a few train stations and didn’t allow groups of non residents youths off, literally sent them home, after our very recent issues.
