Yes, according to that thread, apparently she has been banned which is a great pity as she made valuable and helpful contributions to Gransnet, however anyone viewed her politics.

I think new posters appeared who seemed to be rather goady and she may have disagreed with them.

I expect some of these posts will be taken down.

I completely agree with you about her not saying anything so awful that she should be banned. I didn't agree with many things she wrote ... but she was very generous with her advice.. and I like diversity of opinions and miss her.

Do we know that GSM was banned? How do we know? I thought one of her posts lately said that she wasn’t feeling very well ….

I didn't always see eye to eye with GSM but I'm surprised she's been banned. Her posts were often blunt but I've seen much worse on here that's not even been deleted. Not sure how bans work but hopefully she'll be back.

I too enjoy most people’s contributions, and find all peoples views/opinions interesting, even if I cannot under there motives or agree with them.

Regarding GSM being “banned”, I’m horrified, she was a very plain speaker but I miss her sensible contributions!

me too... Kandinsky and Wyllows.. and I miss our ex lawyer GSM who was banned.. really if we can't have a debate with differing views on here, how will we find harmony anywhere

kandinsky all we can do is be ourselves and say what we think.

How others take it is not under our control.

I wonder if that's why echo chambers are so popular?
It's so much easier to talk with people who have a similar perspective to ourselves?

Firstly. My post that got deleted said ‘arguing with strangers on the internet is pointless as no one changes their mind’.
So I didn’t even say Gransnet! so not referring to anyone on here. I said ‘the internet’
I also said I only come on here when I’m bored. What’s wrong with that? I’ve seen loads of people say similar. I’m not saying other people on GN are boring.

I’m still completely confused as to why my post was deleted. But hey, I’ll get over it.

I am obsessed with free speech, I find Wyllow very fair in general. It's good it ended in love and peace .
I also always admire people who say sorry. I am rubbish at that kind of thing.
