Very negative post Primrose.
But it’s true! they held an open day at a mosque in Norwich a couple of years ago and, as people rightly said, it would be nice to meet Muslim women too in order to get a balanced view.
Excellent point. I hope you brought it up and hopefully they responded.
My son went on a school trip to a mosque years ago. They met both men and women, who explained to them their rituals. I doubt that has changed.
My BiL is a strict catholic. He doesn’t believe women should assume any offices within the church. He is far more fundamentalist than any of the numerous male and female Muslims I worked with in the NHS (he and I have had many arguments, unsurprisingly). Muslims are not all strict, just as Christians are not. Mosques are not all the same, just as Christian churches are not. Why do people think their experience negates that of others?
