Hamas are categorised as a terrorist organisation so are you implying that a first world nation like Israel should also fight like terrorists?
Some might agree with that definition but we are getting into very murky waters here.

@ronib I hear what you are saying but there are rules even in the theatre of war regarding hitting hospitals, schools, aid workers, and journalists. None of which have been recognised by the IDF.

How many Hamas operatives were killed in the school? More than one I guess.
This is out and out war and it isn’t going to stop. Israel is not going to back down.
It’s not for me to judge the morality of war. I wish it wasn’t happening but it is.

I don’t believe it justifies killing innocent children even if a Hamas operative is hiding in the school either.
Let’s flip this and ask, ‘if a Hamas operative was hiding in an Israeli school would the IDF bomb it?’

I really do wonder why Netanyahu has such impunity to do as he pleases, he has not only bombed Gaza to the ground and killed nearly 40,000 Gazans, a third or more children, some say almost half. He has bombed Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Iran. It seems that the normal rules of engagement or international conventions just don’t apply. Already Israel has broken more international laws than any other country and has been accused of war crimes in The Hague.
More than this he has committed genocide.
Of course any attacks on Israel are equally unacceptable, but a nation cannot just embark upon genocide after terrorist attacks. Imagine if the British government had done that after IRA attacks during the troubles. Would any western nation just stand by and do nothing, especially the US.
This will go down in history as a shameful and dark episode for which all western leaders will share the blame.

If Hamas is using the school or mosque to hide in, does that justify killing children ? I don’t believe it does. How can the region recover ?

Using the above definition of genocide Israel easily meets most if it’s criteria

Israel is committing genocide.

The question is, how will it be stopped?

Definition of genocide means any of the following acts committed to destroy in whole or in part a national, ethical, religious or racial group such as

Killing members of that group

Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of that group

Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction, in whole or in part.

Imposing measures to prevent birth within the group

Forcibly transferring children of thst group to another group

Israel uses the same old excuse for bombing hospitals etc, that Hamas were using this school as a base. Trying to justify their cruel actions.

The situation in Gaza is shocking and the way Israel has conducted this war is totally unacceptable. I continue to follow what is happening there via a number of sources. Haaretz is a reliable source that doesn't spout govt propaganda. The IDF continues to kill Palestinian civilians whilst Netanyahu clings onto power with his finger tips and blood.
