I had a good laugh at this prank in Beccles (I think) It ranks, IMO with those lovely Dead Ringer sketches if you’ve heard them.
However, blaming the Far Left (as opposed to the p*ss takers) she was NOT amused.
Time for this? Read elsewhere
Lettuce stop taking the p*ss, . This kind of micky taking is only the tip of the iceberg. Just because she changed her mind from romaine to leaves. Time we appreciated what a little gem she is

One might wonder if she is on the autistic spectrum? She has absolutely no empathy or awareness of the situation of many due to her mistakes, and a total lack of understanding of how she is viewed by others. I don't think she has a sense of humour at all, unless wearing a green dress was meant to be a side-step of a joke?

Hahaha! Very funny.

If she still thinks she has any future in politics, she has to realise the lettuce will be with her all the way forever after!

(I also love the poem!)

What a plonker.

Did anyone else see the survey that showed that the vast majority, not just of the electorate, but Conservative party members couldn't care less who their next leader is.

*Her ineptitude

You were right the first time - "his" ineptitude in the form of her chancellor, Kwarsi Kwarteng's budget, which he refused to submit to the Office of Budget Responsibility, as is traditional, and instead went straight to the Commons on Budget Day and hit parliament over the head with his bad maths.
And Truss let him do it.

What a double act.

The fact that the Tories were stupid enough to pick her as leader says it all - thank goodness they are out.

Luckygirl3 Fri 16-Aug-24 10:36:43

She's making money out of her notoriety, but still persists in taking herself seriously and thinking she is the bee's knees.

People's lives were wrecked by her actions - she simply has no concept - and nor does she care.

It all fits that she might be a Trump supporter .... what a truly truly ghastly woman.

It was a close call, Reform polled almost as many votes as Truss or Labour.
I wonder what she is going to do now she’s out of politics.

She's snuggling up to Elon Musk?

- busy being a "Celeb" ex politician I guess. As far as I can with googling, she's worth enough not to have to work

One has to remember she was elected by the Tory rank and file. Who will they choose next?

It doesn’t bear thinking about, so I’m not going to grin

some discussion here www.gransnet.com/forums/news_and_politics/1339188-Tory-leadership-contest

There are details of who is up for election but all quiet until September when MP's make their choices to whittle down the candidates to two, when the membership then votes.

Love the poem ❤️

She is a stranger to the concept of self awareness, isn't she?

Wyllow3 Thu 15-Aug-24 20:59:41

I had to re-negotiate a fixed term mortgage during her regime.
😡

She even played the part by wearing a green dress grin

This had me boggling. With all the jokes about her, comparing her to a wet lettuce, you would think she would avoid wearing lettuce green.

Heckles in Beccles

Liz Lettuce neither Red not Green
She needs a way to vent her spleen
Some say that she’s a Butterhead
Ten Years to Save the West, she read

A woman whose autonomy
Near crashed a stretched economy
But still insists that she was right
Uncaring of the people’s plight

Shall we Romaine to hear this sage
A remnant from the Iceberg age?
Of sinking ships and bad PMs
Not one of them a Little Gem

The Donkeys’ banner was revealed
The audience suppressed its zeal
Liz looked behind and filled with rage
Then took an Endive off the stage.

If there’s one thing better than being called “low” it’s being called “common” ! gringrin

It made me chuckle!

On a more serious note though, it makes my blood boil that she’s written and promoting a book, she’s openly supporting Trump and she’s given a platform to promote this rubbish!

Such a little gem! I’d award her a one way ticket to Rwanda!

Staged by 'led by Donkeys' and clearly aimed at the lowest common denominator.
