Two donors, one of whom’s money was all hardly spent on glasses and clothes; one of whom did not have that accusation hurled at him. One was given a role in the Civil Service (at the Treasury, I believe) and one was given a key to 20 Downing Street. I don’t know which was which. I’m sure your ever accurate sources can help.

I think every government in my memory has been elected with a minority of the vote. It’s the nature of a FPTP multi-party system. Even the Tories highest ever vote share, back in the early 50s, was 49%.

MissA do try and keep up. Yes Keir Starmer needed £20k from a friend to buy clothes and spectacles. Yes Conservative Woman which is not remotely conservative is a good starting point for widening one’s horizons.

I love a good dance. Good for AR for setting healthy examples. Anyone can get up and dance. Why should anyone limit themselves and live a joyless existance?

I am currently in rural France and soon I will be in the Isle of Man, after a sojourn with family in England. Did I mention one of my daughters is a doctor working at ST7 level in hospital. One of those 'junior' doctors so disparaged by Steve Barclay and Victoria Atkin, a bigger pair of idiots outside of their ability range I have rarely seen. So I come here and find people getting their gussets in a quandary over a newly appointed young female politician having a weekend on holiday during recess, and due to her class and party pearls were clutched in a effort to denigrate her. I am a woman who has worked in a male dominated tech industry from the early 80s. I will not allow this kind of pathetic behaviour pass unremarked, I don't care how much your DH may or may not have earned. So that's how I feel about the whole thing. Judge her on her policies and what she does at work. Don't do cheap point scoring because she lives in world you don't care to understand, even if you could.

I wonder how many contributors to this thread could still dance, even when/after consuming alcohol yet get up and go to work, where we were so on task, happy and positive that no obe knew we’d been in Ibiza 4 days ago? Ok I fibbed I’ve never been to Ibiza.

As we read and comment, one if my adult d’s is dancing the night away at a park party she arrived at about midday. She’s designated driver but her group are consuming alcohol. They will all be up early to collect the children they’ve cruelly abandoned with grandparents.
I don’t believe these 40 year olds are unrepresentative of their age group. I imagine they’d not bat an eye lid at Angela

Iam64 well it’s so difficult to find any real information about the event. All I know is that there are some very committed professionals who would find it difficult to dance away for 6 to 8 hours through the night and still have enough energy to do a very good job on Monday. But then they are probably not reliving their teenage years. They are the grown ups in the room?

No, they are the fit and happy ones among us, who train hard. Dance is incredibly good for the brain! I know many people who well into their 70's dance all night by eating a low density diet and taking care of themselves.

Some people are putting in a full day's work as a dancer well past retirement age.

Dancers are always nice people, probably because of all the good endorphins.

You can always tell who dances and who doesnt, just by their attitude.

Even I, a teensy bit older 😂😂😂 than Rayner, could party on a Wednesday and be fine the following Monday.

I have no idea (actually, Casdon has nailed it) why you keep implying she was partying the night before she had to go to work - it’s not true, the video clip is as posted at 4am on Thursday 29th August.

She had been working on that Wednesday, btw, finishing around 6.30pm, judging by other social media accounts.

I’ve clicked. What ronib is doing is trying to mitigate the Johnson holiday excesses. Angela Rayner has a very, very long way to go to equal his record, and I don’t think there’s a question about whether she paid for her own holiday or a rich mate gave it to her so far though. For the record, he went to the Caribbean less than a month after the 2019 election.
