Will Huw Edwards get a custodial sentence?

I would like to see this vile individual adequately punished but unfortunately I doubt that would include a custodial sentence.
My guess is that he will have to attend some sort of sex offenders rehabilitation course.
I can’t get over the fact that the worst of those images of the sexual abuse of children involved little ones as young as seven.

It’s unprintable what I would like to see happen to him.
Meanwhile, he still hasn’t repaid the £200,000 pay the BBC are demanding.

A slap on the wrist and a telling off and his wife will be at his side.

He and his wife are estranged.

I d like to see child abusers of any type on an island in the North Sea or maybe taking up the hotels in Rwanda

He should be jailed, as should all those who view children being sexually abused. Long sentences too. Just getting a tap on the wrist is not acceptable and serves as no deterrent.

I honestly cannot see the point of putting him in prison, when there are already not enough places for those who have committed violent crimes.
Unfortunately there are not really many other effective punishments available, though I guess public humiliation is a strong one.

He should be, but probably not.
They are emptying prison's, he will get various conditions etc and be tagged?

The distribution of images of children being sexually abused is abuse. It’s compounding the terror and pain these children experienced.
The images are there for ever. One child abused and videod at 7 discovered the films were still in circulation 20 years later.

The man who passed the photographs to him didn’t have a prison sentence

Today is the day Huw Edwards will learn his fate.

It’s an interesting one, in our local newspaper men have received fines and community orders for similar offences.

I wonder if they will make an example of Huw, I cannot imagine he would have an easy time in prison and although people would argue he didn’t physically abuse any children the distribution of these images in itself is abuse.

I really couldn’t call this one.
