I will say it again, Starmer fan grans really need to grow thicker skins.

I have always voted Conservative (wouldn’t if Liz Truss was in charge) Tory voters and my party have been vilified since GNs inception.

I am not a blind follower criticised when I thought they were wrong, and sucked up all the jibes some were at times very personal (to MPs, and GN members who owned up to being a blue), it’s par for the course.

Your man wanted and got the top job and he and you will just have to accept that everything he does and says will be under micro scrutiny, and rightly so.

If you are finding it uncomfortable, well gird your loins only another four years and nine months until the next election…

Starmer has played into the hands of the media who are lapping it up (as well as Gransnet.)
The freebies for politicians has gone on for a long time. It's not right but Labour aren't the only ones who have benefitted. It must have been so much easier for a PM in years gone by before internet and everyone being open to view.
I do think that too much focus on things like this and little things like a mis said word detracts from more serious things happening.

What about ‘Starmer accepts £20, 000 worth of accommodation so son can study in peace’. Not in the same class as Starmer ate my hamster, I will admit.

Well, if anything happens to Larry it will obviously be Keirs fault for introducing a new cat to Downing Street. In fact, given his age I would imagine that Keirs premiership will outlive Larry so he will definitely be blamed for his demise….If Victoria is, as I assume she is, still working for the NHS there will be complaints about the extra security it is costing. Either way, you’ll hear it here first because gransnet seems to be the place to be for all things Keir bashing! Just waiting to see how long it is before someone thinks up another anti Keir thread .
