Will Messrs Reeves and Raynor Still Be Around This Time Next Year?

Sir Keir's ratings have nosedived so badly since the election that I wonder which moves he might be planning for his first Cabinet re-shuffle.
He strikes me as having an underlying ruthless streak and won't hesitate to jettison certain unpopular "comrades" in order to shore up his own position.
Whenever I see a media photo of Keir, Angela and Rachel grinning idiotically at each other I just have to think "I bet two of you will have got your P45's by next year......"

It hasn't descended at all. It's path was predicable from the title and OP.

Yes, you can't really descend from that starter can you? Although I did try to be fair.

*predictable
(caffeine needed here!)

Why do you find her annoying?

It’s the way she talks somehow, her mouth moves about in an irritating fashion.

But do you find what comes out of her mouth annoying?

I am too busy looking at her mouth to take in what she is saying, unfortunately.

As this debate has descended into predictable shallowness I could add that Keir Starmer obviously spends quite a bit of time on his hair which much make him more acceptable on the world stage than some of our previous PMs. Also I used to go to the same hairdresser as a current cabinet minister - the hairdresser has since moved on as has she.

I wouldn’t give a rats about what any of them look like - so long as they do their job and serve the people. Which not many seem to do these days.

I don’t know whether Angela Rayner is on top of her brief or not, but her hair is nice, whether it’s extensions or not. I love the colour, it’s very similar to my granddaughter’s hair colour. AR’s is a bit more vibrant though so she may have had some help from a bottle. Nothing wrong with that, I have a little help that way too.

I later did some research on the "cottage homes" and found some images of children (2 boys and a girl) with the pudding basin hair cut who used to live there. Obviously Im not going to post them. Apparently the buildings were abandoned in the 1970s and fell into disrepair. However they have now been restored and turned into classy appartments. I would like to bet the current tenants dont cut their own hair.

Oh dear, I have very poor hair. Mea culpa. It’s always been an embarrassment, but I didn’t realise until now that good hair was a measure of professional competency.

I’m actually rather envious of Rachel’s shiny bob.

Where's Annaliese Dodds these days?
She was Shadow Chancellor a while ago.

At the hairdresser

😁

Actually, I should think she can just Wash and Go!
Natural curls.

You can’t know much I guess, because it looks good, and that’s what matters in the hair game, obviously, going by the thread comments.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sun 27-Oct-24 22:21:44

Angela’s hair (mostly) isn’t her own. It’s extensions. My hairdresser isn’t impressed by them but what do I know? Nowt.
😁

Allira Sun 27-Oct-24 22:20:12

Nobody can best Angela's hair!

Casdon Sun 27-Oct-24 22:19:02

They wouldn’t care if she wore a Donald Trump wig as long as she knew what she was doing I’m sure. Luckily Angela’s hair is still looking good, and I’m positive that indicates she’s on top of her brief.

More importantly, what do they think of her haircut?

I'll just leave this here: "Mark Carney endorses Labour’s shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves" - www.ft.com/content/13aeb762-5636-4423-b964-9128e2d9137d -

Really? 😯

As does the IMF and a large majority of economists.

There are a few economists who disagree with Reeves stance. An example of one such economist would be Richard Murphy who was employed by Jeremy Corbyn as an advisor when he was Labour leader. There are others, but economist are largely behind Reeves in her growth strategy.

I hope he removes the eternally annoying Bridget Phillipson.

Why do you find her annoying?

IMO she's the first Education Secretary I can remember who actually cares about what happens with real pupils.
