Yes have heard of his amazing life and sad to hear of his death. But what achievements!
His loved ones will mourn but will no doubt celebrate such a life.

I've heard about the Bristol bus campaign. This man was a real trailblazer, pity I didn't recognise the name when it came up.

May he rest in peace.

Dr Paul Stephenson has died aged aged 87.

Paul Stephenson was a social worker and became a civil rights campaigner who organised the boycott of the Bristol Omnibus Company in 1963, campaigning successfully against their colour bar. The company would not employ Black or Asian drivers or conductors.
He carried on campaigning for equal rights and his actions led to the first Race Relations Act in 1965.

He was a remarkable man.

Farewell Paul Stephenson. RIP.
