He said he was ready to serve. So okay but doesn’t he have a job at the moment? How pleased are his constituents at the moment? How much time does he give them?

Is David Cameron still a person of note? power? I must have missed that.
Jeremy Corbyn certainly had plenty to say, and he’s equally unimportant.
The defence of KS lives on.

Earlier this year he was the foreign secretary Mollygo, so yes his words are relevant in this discussion, if you want to make something of remarks by Starmer and Lammy. Witch hunting people because they once said something unwise which came back to haunt them but ultimately made no difference to diplomatic relations is a mugs game, it achieves nothing.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Seems about right. Matches what comes out of his mouth.

My MP has answered all of my emails and is up and running ! New MP for us and a breath of fresh air after our previous one !!
As for Farage, you got what you voted for Clacton!! A lazy self centred bone idle waistrel who is only out to cause mayhem again

Some of the views expressed above are simply staggering in their ignorance of the harm Farage is doing

mum2three Sun 10-Nov-24 06:02:18

Let's hope Farage will act as a bridge between the two countries. We certainly need someone with Trump's attitude over here (putting aside his unpleasant personality).

ronib Sun 10-Nov-24 06:02:40

Goldoldie15 is Farage inflicting more harm than anyone else? Any examples? I am fast thinking that we are living in an age of insanity.

Oh dear, back to Farage bashing.
Some of you have nothing better to do.

Chocolatelovinggran Sun 10-Nov-24 09:22:15

My new MP has replied to emails, held surgeries, spoken in Parliament about an issue important to the area, held a public meeting to ask for local views on assisted dying, sold poppies in the street....and much more.
Surely this is what we should expect of our elected, paid for, Member of Parliament.
I don't think that she's found time to pop over to the States .

This is a thread about Farage, after all. We've discussed doubts about his being a competent MP, his spending large amounts of time in the USA and how we see this politically, and his decision to spend a lot of time working in the media instead of on his constituents as well as disagreements with his POV.

If you want to point out his positives, this is a good space to do so. Any discussion on GN allows us to do that, whoever we are focussing on.

He is a very good speaker, as is Trump. There, something positive.

MayBee70 Sun 10-Nov-24 11:20:52

Trump is a good speaker confused?

Yes, brilliant, And how it should be for all MPs, this is what they are elected and paid to do. THEIR JOB.

Which Farage should do to, or taken to task if he does not.
