Great effort, but how are GB News going to distribute this?

How will they decide who is “worthy”.

I know this is a political jibe from GB News resulting from the WFA cuts.

Apparently, the money is going to be given to a charity called 'Friends of the Elderly'.

I don't have a problem (except doubting it can be "fair throughout the country" because of the resources that would be needed to assess would be absolutely massive).

I can't help thinking that there would be more money for pensioners in poverty if the last Conservative govt had managed the economy better, but that would be churlish. I always give a donation to Shelter and Crisis at Christmas instead of sending Christmas cards. I think it's good to think of others in need so I applaud GB news' initiative. Well done.

Nearly £200,000 for pensioners in poverty…
