I know I can search Primrose53 but if people make statements about what is said on another thread without telling us that it's been said somewhere else it's a bit confusing.
I don't want to have to read every thread - I'm sure you don't either.
I think Shinamae started the thread “GB NEWS viewers raise money” because for a fairly new news channel it is a nice idea for presenters to think of others.
Their audience has increased considerably and some of their presenters have already won awards in the TV industry.
A lot of us think it is a refreshing change from other channels who are very biased and boring.
GB News is detested on here by a few pearl clutchers because it dares to be different so we have ridiculous comments like “I don’t like any presenters because they are on GB News.”
Some evenings I am in fits of laughter when you get people on GBN from completely opposing sides having a good old ding dong, then before the end they are getting on great over a pint or a piece of music and often having a laugh too.
Wylow3 Surely it would have been more appropriate to 'have your quiet word' on a separate post? This post is about the good work GB News does for the less fortunate.
The point is love0c that this fundraising is good, but it’s not in any way exceptional, it’s what journalists celebrities,, and millions of unsung heroes do, across the political spectrum. Why would GB News need a special mention and nobody else who has done the same thing?
They had a special mention because I chose to give them one…

Wyllow3 St. Martin in the Fields (and its Vicar's Relief Fund) is my favourite charity. Such a lot of great work done there. I am so glad the BBC still supports it.
