Oh my! Farage isn’t up to it - according to Musk😄😄
(245 Posts)Glorious😄😄😄
Have reported the difficulty with a willow3 and Wyllow3 to GNHQ.
I had a troll that used my name, simply changing one letter of my name.
May not be this but at least they know.

TR had 100,000 people at his last rally in London in August and has a million followers. For many years he has exposed the grooming gangs! Most of these followers support Reform too and would vote for them. NF should acknowledge TR's views but still keep him out of Reform. Now in his forties TR is not the thug he was supposed to be when he ran EDL in his twenties and is a true patriot routing for Britain and is not racist. My son follows him and keeps me advised.
Sorry, but I completely disagree with you re TR. he and his followers are racist thugs. He wouldn’t have got involved in any grooming activity had the perpetrators not been Asian or black

Farage is definitely not a slithery boot- licking crawler, like many. Good on him, this stance will gather even more support. The man had backbone
Hahaha Farage is a bit of a slithery boot-licker, have you not seen him fawning over Trump?

Maybe I too would like to know what Reforms policies are. Apart from anti-immigration. No-one here has ever been able to enlighten me.
The manifesto (contract) on which people voted has been withdrawn, as it was described as Liz Truss on stilts. So imagine that snd you get an idea of their economic policy.
Disastrous!
A manifesto has not been a contract for a decade or more I would say.
All parties break them. I pay scant notice any more.
But I do take your point a bit.
But it did have some finance policies, if I rememeber correctly, when I and others looked it up, back whenever the General Election was.

Willow3 is not Wyllow3, I just got very confused and bewildered. I attributed a post by Willow3 to Wyllow3.
Am glad growstuff has pointed this out.
Phew from me as well.
And me! I was going to ask if Wyllow3's account had been hacked! Especially when she said her son kept her up to date about Tommy Robinson.
Why on earth was Willow3 permitted to use a name so similar? Why the 3?

That's a bit worrying.
Does Wyllow3 know, perhaps she could ask GNHQ if they could change one of them.

Having deliberately estranged ourselves from the EU, for the sake of so called Sovereignty- we now find ourselves with no choice but to accept almost anything from Trump and Musk, for survival.
Could you back that ludicrous statement with just one fact. 🤷♀️
Not ludicrous at all. Imo
Sorry but why on earth should we put up with Musk interfering in British politics? I find this really alarming. And supporting Tommy Robinson?!!

That's one policy that I agree with too.
The bank reserves that the BoE pays interest on are money that was created by the BoE in the first place. The rationale for paying interest on reserves is that they are deposit accounts with the BoE. As the commercial banks didn't actually make the deposits the interest payments are completely free, unearned profit for the banks, used to pay equally unearned excessive bankers' salaries and bonuses.
The economic ramifications IMO are that it takes some bricks out of the government's 'we can't afford it' wall.I think that an announcement such as Farage is suggesting would crash financial stability, and we would once again be at the mercy of the markets, and in a full blown financial crises.
And default? How would they deal with that?
I am not suggesting however that interest payment should continue for ever, I think that the BoE might say that it intends to stop paying interest once the QE has been fully re-paid.
I know that the discussion has moved on a bit, but I’ve been belatedly taking down Christmas decorations.
The interest paid to commercial banks is nothing to do with QE. It is the interest paid on the huge reserves the banks need because of the govt’s guarantee that deposits of up to £85k would be honoured by the government in the event of a bank failure (such as were threatened at the time of the GFC)
As it was the BoE who credited the banks with the extra reserves why would not paying interest on them cause any problems?
As I said, this has nothing to do with QE.
As. matter of interest, though, who do you think the UK owes the QE money to?

(Apologies, DH started telling me about EM at the same time.)

I see Musk has now launched a poll , asking if "U.S. should liberate Britain from tyrranical government " !
He gets more and more like a theme for a Monty Python sketch. Is the man suffering from some delusion ?
You'd laugh if he was so scary!
Yes.

I always find it sad that there is such little belief in Great Britain, and that its thought we are only worthwhile as a country as EU members, not because we are such a wonderful country, independent of the EU, which in my opinion, we are.

The media give far too much attention to both of them.
Unfortunately, the news media, ho are hell bent on criticising everything that Labour do, are playing into Musks hands by giving him so much publicity.
Musk may be a genius within his own area of expertise but he knows very little about politics in the UK or anywhere else to be fair. He just has plenty of rather odious opinions and unfortunately owns a president of the US and a massive worldwide social media platform.
If he had a cat on his knee he would make a passable Bond villain.
Farage described Musk as a hero on the Laura K show yesterday wonder what he thinks today? Don't like Farage or Musk but why the heck is Musk interfering/commenting on UK internal politics. Who does he think he is? What's his agenda?
Alan Johnson (former minister/MP) summed him up on the same show saying words to the effect that just because you have a lot of money does not mean you are intelligent.
