Trump in fighting mood

(167 Posts)

President elect Trump was in fighting mood yesterday with his promise that 'all hell will break loose' should Hamas not return the remaining hostages before his inauguration.
He also wants to take by force if necessary, Greenland and the Panama Canal.
Oh and the little matter of changing the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
Strap in everyone, we're in for a bumpy ride.

As an aside, I have been scrolling through twitter (X) today, which is something I haven’t done for a long time - and there are some very, very disturbing threads/posts on there which I am sure would not previously been allowed. One so ghastly that if I quoted it I would be zapped I am sure. But it is extreme anti-semitism.

Another showing “British Patriots” cornering a young Asian man accusing him of gang rape.

I hope this is just a blip, but not convinced it is.

Mudslinging mostly because posters hate Trump and Musk. And now they’ve dragged Melanie into it

FGT I assume Musk and Trump won’t object to any so-called mudslinging - them being such believers in free speech an all!!!

Ladylost Fri 10-Jan-25 19:24:28

What with Trump and Musk 2025 looks to be an interesting year - I gather Britain is to be liberated

Gossip Claremont? Tittle tattle?
If not, please quote your source. It sounds a preposterous accusation!

There are many medical reasons why an adult might do this.

For most of my childhood I had a medical condition that caused faecal incontinence and was horribly bullied because of this.

Even if what Claremont says is true, it is no cause to taunt the unfortunate person. Seems to me Claremont was one of those playground bullies that made my life such a misery.

I dislike Trump immensely but slurs like this are just vile unless proven to be true. Weren't some sections of social media saying that Biden was soiling himself in public before he stood down from standing for re-election? An equally vile and vacuous allegation.

And please folks, any expressed sympathies for Melania are seriously misguided. She's MAGA all the way and fully supportive of that dangerous idiot.

And yet she speaks very highly of you.

And yet she speaks very highly of you.
😂 I shouldn't laugh.

But I did!

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Fri 10-Jan-25 15:38:49

Indeed Casdon. I have no concerns about that really.
Threads meander.

👍👍. A very unpleasant woman

I don't know enough about Melania to form an opinion but I always felt sorry for her.
I felt she was trapped.

It’s a bit confusing in that he has had an unconditional discharge but is still a convicted felon.

pascal30 Fri 10-Jan-25 15:32:00

And now he has an unconditional discharge!!!

HousePlantQueen Fri 10-Jan-25 13:11:16

GG13, if we all left threads when it doesn't go our way, most discussions would be rather short on here. Having said that, I have left many times because despite being given facts and information contrary to their opinions, some persist in peddling the same ill informed nonsense. I too despise Trump, he is everything bad in a person as far as I am aware. He is a liar, a cheat, crass, and as I have said before, his mockery of a disabled reporter crossed a line for me. You may think otherwise of course, which is up to you.

Mojack26 Fri 10-Jan-25 13:03:15

And blaming Governor of California and Biden for the wildfires in LA. He's deranged! God help us all!

Claremont Fri 10-Jan-25 12:33:06

Women who support men who behave as he does- have a responsibility in their actions too. She could have left him and called him out- she chose not to. And we are totally entitled to ask what her reasons were. Power, status, money, more- all 3 or more. I am very sure it is not out of love and admiration for that man - who is known to poo his pants in tantrums and expects others to clean him up. I am sure she does not. btw.

No-one has dragged her into where she is- she has chosen to be there, and is now choosing to remain there.

Casdon Fri 10-Jan-25 12:31:45

Posts don’t always go the way you hope they will FriedGreenTomatoes3. Happens to us all.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Fri 10-Jan-25 12:10:13

Wise decision GG13 it’s getting beyond silly now. Mudslinging mostly because posters hate Trump and Musk.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 10-Jan-25 12:06:40

I think I am out of the N & P threads for a while.

When posters can only post insults, the discussions become invalid.

Trip3 Fri 10-Jan-25 12:04:58

As for Elon Musk, if Hitler were still around, you know that Musk would be telling people to vote for him too. Megalomania knows no bounds. It's difficult to decide whether it's Musk or Trump who's the more dangerous entity.

Claremont

Yes, but what is even more worrying, is that this totally unhinged narcissist was elected again by a vast number of people. I find this even more frightening, terrifying even.

You're right on the money there Claremont, sad as that is. I predicted that Americans were stupid enough to elect that moron again. How can it be that a majority of "average Joe's & Josephine's" can somehow think that he's on their side and has their best interests at heart? He doesn't even have the country's best interests at heart. He cares about one thing and one thing only: himself!

And remember, he said that he loves the uneducated - unfortunately, they're too uneducated to comprehend what that statement really means. But Trump does fit in with that crowd to the extent that he too is an incredibly stupid man; that such stupidity and downright ignorance has been accorded so much power is horribly frightening for the entire planet!

Whitewavemark2 Fri 10-Jan-25 11:49:31

Understood, but that doesn’t make being the plaything of Trump then Musk any more acceptable for her or any woman. 🤢
