I fear you are ignorant of the constitutional workings of the UK. The following facts may not be to your liking but they are facts nonetheless and no amount of disinformation posted by you and other US and UK citizens on this platform who are uninformed as to how things work in our little group of islands on this side of the pond will change that reality.

1. In July 2024, the UK held a general election the result of which was an overwhelming victory for the Labour party.
2. As leader of the party that had secured a majority of seats in the House of Commons, Keir Starmer was invited by the King to form a government. Starmer accepted the King's invitation. In the UK, that is the only mechanism by which one can become Prime Minister; one does not 'run' for the position (Andrew Tate take note).
3. As of today, the Labour government has an effective working majority of 165 votes in the House of Commons.
4. A new general election may only be called as a result of the Monarch's agreement to such a request by the sitting Prime Minister, or as a result of the government losing a vote of no confidence in the House of Commons. Neither case is remotely likely to occur.
5. Any idea you may have of whipping up mass #FarageRiots amongst the ignorant and unschooled who follow you will not work; unlike your Executive, ours is not subject to a Posse Comitatus Act and should it really becme necessary, our military may be used to restore order.
6. Despite the beliefs of said unschooled ignoramuses mentioned above, King Charles III is a constitutional monarch who may act only with the consent of the Prime Minister. He cannot dissolve Parliament, he cannot call a general election, he cannot, to use your terminology, 'fire' any elected official.
7. Despite the beliefs of the above mentioned uneducated, Magna Carta is no longer in force in the UK - we have moved on and thankfully we now have the Human Rights Act passed by the Blair government in 1998 that gives legal effect to the ECHR, drafted by British Lawyers in the early 1950s.
8. The majority of US citizens, even some republicans, understand that they have not elected you to any office whatsoever and they are quite concerned by your meglomania.

I hope this helps - it's always best to have a good and detailed understanding of any country with which you intend to interfere - if only the US had learned that before they invaded Iraq and found no weapons of mass detruction and no evidence of Iraqi involvement in the 9/11 attrocity. Surely the US did not invade just for the oil?

I suggest you have a cup of tea, a slice of fruit cake and calm down.

Pip pip!

Yes there is a specific problem, in the same way there was a specific problem within the catholic church. Nobody worried that victims would think all paedophiles were priests when we discussed that issue extensively.
If the left dont talk about it the right will.

PS the 20% doesn’t just consist of Pakistani men, it is all non white groups.

Casdon Fri 10-Jan-25 16:01:47

Kandinsky

I know plenty of white men are child rapists, but in Rochdale the gangs were predominantly Pakistani men, deliberately targeting vulnerable white children. This is a fact.
I wonder if those defending these men would be so obliging if it had been predominantly white men targeting Pakistani children - I doubt it.
Some people are still more concerned about hurting the feelings of rapists.
It’s disgusting. .

I’m certainly not defending the Pakistani grooming gangs. What I’m saying is that the obsession (not by you) of some with ignoring the majority white men in pursuit of the minority Pakistani men is unjustified and racist. What would be the point of any inquiry if it only looked at 20% of the problem?

LizzieDrip Fri 10-Jan-25 15:59:44

Kandinsky what people? I haven’t heard this POV from anyone.

Elon donated 6 billion in stocks to his own foundation. Then he got in trouble 3 years in a row for not giving away the minimum amount required for charity. The minimum amount? 5%

He gave 6 billion to himself tax free.

Sago is right. Labour seem to want to disregard cultural differences for political purposes. But I rather think their troubles are only just starting with the poor Economic outlook for the UK and a probably faintly hostile POTUS. This attack is only the first of many that will come this year.

Sago is not right. To the contrary, people who have examined the evidence and know that rapists are predominantly white men, and grooming is predominantly done by white men. It’s unsurprising, 80% of the UK population is white. Just read the evidence I posted above from Sky News, which is certainly not a tool of Labour. It’s time people got real.

He’s a meddler, listening to his father speak on TV yesterday I can see where it comes from, a vile, far right man, highly opinionated and extremely racist.

This country needs to deal with ALL perpetrators white, brown or black I worked for 10 years with abuse survivors and none were abused by Muslims or any race other than white Caucasians, of course a lot depends on the demographics of the area.
I dealt with people abused by fathers, stepfathers, uncles, teachers (this was a ring) youth leaders, church officials and church goers never once a person other than white
A lot of very well thought of people many whose criminal behaviour CPS chose to ignore
I remember going to high court with one mum who started proceedings when her child became the age she was when she was regularly abused It was a jury we were hopeful they would see her ruined life, but they found a non guilty verdict because the woman could not remember the dates the abuse happened (30 years previous ) she knew it happened every time herMum went to her night job but not exact dates

ALL prosecutions are very overdue no matter whatever race religion or persuasion the abuser comes from

Quick reminder for the Elon Musk fans on here:

Trump senior fathered a child with his stepdaughter.

As an aside, I don’t think the Pakistani community as a whole will have been aware of these atrocities. Let’s face it, these taxi drivers, kebab shop owners/workers are not likely to have gone home to their womenfolk and said “oh listen what we got up to last night” are they? These absolute monsters of men will have been like a sick band of brothers. I bet their own families knew nothing really about all this - their mothers and sisters for example. Vile men.

Sago Fri 10-Jan-25 15:30:42

The whole point is it was covered up because the faces were brown.

^No, he is using them which is despicable^

I agree Allira.

EM is politicising the awful experiences faced by these girls.

If he cared about the victims, why didn’t he care last year, the year before, the year before that …?

Why now all of a sudden? Because he is using them to attack Keir Starmer now that he’s PM.

It’s sickening and, IMO, sickening that some on GN are cheering him on!

So right

Whitewavemark2 Fri 10-Jan-25 15:27:04

sago because it doesn’t encompass the existential threat from the paedophile rings or people whatever their origin in the U.K.

We MUST focus on the victims and their issues. They are at risk from so many quarters in society.

They must understand that the risk is not just from people with brown faces, but people with clerical collars or people with white faces (most likely) offering a good time, drink and drugs etc. or even the odd MP or teacher!

It is wrong to focus on one group.

Like Musk as much as Trump! However, glad this subject been put in the spotlight, we don't need another enquiry, of over 20 recommendations of. the last enquiry only five recommendations implemented. Where is the justice for these groomed children, these gangs are in every town and groomed girls passed round, it is still rife. These men should be rounded up and sent to an island in the middle of nowhere and left there, we shouldn't have to pay for their board and lodgings if sent to prison. I believe they are not fit to live. .This country is so frightened of being accused of racism that we are letting this continue, its an abomination. These girls are damaged, from dysfunctional homes or care homes, drawn in by a younger member who the girl thinks cares for them, then plied with drink and drugs before abused by vile older men. No one denies that abuse happens in all walks of life but these are organised gangs. Do these poor girls just not matter, so glad Musk raised the matter because nothings been done here.

A lawyer speaking on the radio this morning said that it is entirely wrong to speak of Pakistani Rape Gangs.

The term is paedophile ring ,which encompasses all the potential groups who are intent on harm and not confining it to a certain group, because distinguishing a certain group in such terms muddles the waters for the victims.

Yes and this is the cause of the problem.

Nobody dare say, Pakistani, Muslim etc etc.

Why can we not face the issue that we have a section of the population who have treated our own children like second class citizens, they have raped and murdered young girls, threatened their families and described them as white slags.

The Sikhs faced this problem back in the 80’s and fought back.

I have first hand experience of this in a Lancashire mill town.
It took letters to our MP and chief of Police to get an investigation…. guess what not enough evidence!

This will not be buried and we must be able to speak of the ethnicity of these disgusting individuals.

Essential reading.

Thank you for reminding me.

How can any one person be worth $421 bn?!!!! That's just obscene.

Allira Fri 10-Jan-25 15:02:08

I am not defending Elon Musk but it is on record that he had donated over $6 billion to charity (as of 2022)

His spacex satellites are keeping Ukraine connected to the world apparently free of charge.

His companies R & D on electric vehicles should help with climate change as well.

I am not in favour of his pronouncements on U.K. politics, but neither am I in favour of Bill Gates and the CEO of Black Rock cosying up to Keir Starmer.

And now he's bored, looking for something else to do.

Him giving $6bn to charity is just small change as he's worth $421 bn.
