He deserved to win but, he should donate it to a charity even if its an American one.

Harry does much talking , too much talking

Virtually everything you read about Harry is negatively slanted and this won't change. In fact, the press will take their revenge. This will mean people suck up the narrative about him and he will never really win. If the press don't know the facts, they'll make it up. I know that this happens because it has happened to the organisation my family worked for. So often the "facts" were completely wrong in press reports. Fortunately it wasn't abusive just factually incorrect or speculative.

The trouble with the law in this country is that once one side has offered to settle out of court, the other person is really at a disadvantage if they choose to carry on proceedings. That means we will never know the complete truth. Whilst I can see that we don't want additional expense or the Court's time to be taken up, it does mean that it turns into a bit of a white wash.

Anyway, I don't agree with all that Harry does (although I am more sympathetic to some of his "crimes") but I am glad he continued pushing things. One day the press will be accountable if there are people like Harry to call them on it.

If he has any sense he will lay it to rest, as William has done, and use the money for charitable purposes, which will give him some purpose in his aimless existence.

I’m very pleased this to hear this apology from a group of powerful individuals who in past years could say and so what they liked and ruined the life’s and characters of many people.

The innocent have been vindicated and not before time.

I believe we need a free press but we need to be able to trust that same body of people too and today with so much nonsense being bandied about that makes it difficult.

I don’t see it as unreasonable to request protection. He served in Afghanistan, he is a member of the RF so is at similar risks to other family members in the UK. He isn’t a working royal so protection will only be needed during infrequent visits to the UK

Damages well over £10m. 6 investigators every day for 16 years digging into his private life. Good for exposing this.

Good for Harry in not backing out at the first opportunity. The newspaper group apologised and admitted they hounded him and his mother. This was important to extract an admission of liability so is more significant than the earlier settlements .

I wonder how Harry will use this result now?
Will he feel he can at last put the intrusions into his personal life to bed forever, and quietly get on with his life? That would certain help his mental health.
Or will he start giving more interviews, and finding others to blame?
Personally I think he would earn greater respect by going for the first option, and putting his win to good use.
