Were any of you distressed for the Jews who were displaced post 1948?
Despite the positive influence that Jews brought to the places where they lived, more than 850,000 Jews were forced to leave their homes in Egypt, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Morocco, and several other Arab countries in the 20 years that followed the Arab-Israeli war of 1948
It's never been easy Jewish, anywhere
Well, I wasn't born in 1948, so I couldn't have been distressed at the time. Nevertheless, I agree with you about the displacement after 1948. The state of Israel needed to be created to provide some kind of sanctuary. In a way, that's what puzzles me about the lack of empathy by people like Ben-Givr and Smotrich about the Palestinian need to have their own land.
