Want to understand what Trump is doing?

Is there a relevant written summary, WWM2? so many things are happening it would be good to have an overview.

On GN we inevitably get bits and pieces - on ICE raids, on Womens health, current complicated information on sacking federal employees, health care cuts, its hard to get a grasp.

I’ll have a look - not sure where though?

They started off by looking at the attached and then looked at Trumps policies and behaviour.

It covers his domestic and foreign policy.

People can protest all they like but I think it is pretty clear what Trump is about.

His plans are not hidden.

If you Google Washington monthly it mentions Trump and the signs of fascism. It is worrying.

I’ve just had a letter from a distant cousin who lives in Georgia. Two of his family are already affected by Trump’s actions. One female currently works for the Environmental Protection Agency. She was going to be moving to the military but Trump has frozen all federal jobs. He’s told everyone to resign and re-apply. My cousin suggests they will only take back Trump supporters.

The commander of chief of federal forces has ordered these forces to go to the Mexican border even though this is illegal.

The Trump government certainly seems to be going down the fascist route. Demanding Greenland from Denmark, telling Canada to become the next state of the USA, threatening its main trading partners with tariff rises (Mexico and Canada) plus the EU plus much more.

There is no evidence that he is being embraced by any of the European leaders except far right ones Rula. Nobody else is, or will ‘fall over themselves’ to embrace a regime which is against their principles and interests. They will maintain a civil working relationship of course, because that is mutually beneficial in negotiations.

What he’s doing appears to be illegal. Not that it will bother him or his followers.

No I’m not afraid of Trump. I’m more afraid of Starmer and his cronies.

His domestic programme is frightening, but his foreign policies if he carries his threats through are terrifying.

Aside from that many of us, me included, have close family and friends living in the USA and we are rightfully concerned.

Trump is a loose canon and a dictator, not what anyone needs running one of world’s most powerful nations.
