He appears also not to like being challenged by "bad" people and can become quite personal about them when they do challenge him.

There is legislation banning new off shore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico, but if it isn’t called the Gulf of Mexico, Trump thinks he will be able to drill. With disastrous consequences worldwide for generations! Does anyone have info on this legislation, and whether a change of name for the Gulf would invalidate it?

Read some of the Canadian Fb pages ("Love Canada", for instance) to see the reactions of Canadians to Trumps intentions - and also the posts from the States showing the reactions of 'Murricans. Some of them are essentially "Our military will soon beat your measly defences" so there are plenty of people ready to help Trump with a military take-over if he wants them to. They also say things like "Whoever controls the Gulf (of Mexico) owns the Gulf" The US doesn't have a thumping good war going on anywhere at the moment, so there is an element that is itching to pick up a rifle again and start one.

(Was wondering about a separate thread in Ukraine - its going to be big - so far we have Hesketh insisting Europe has to pay for the war, or a lot more, and Trump saying its unrealistic to expect a return to 2014 borders - its going to be awful for the Ukrainians).

But nowhere near some of the sensational, sometimes 'theatrical', and strange observations and comments made by Trump at his rallies.

Trump wants to own Greenland, make Canada the 51st State, etc - these are not our imaginings, he's said so.

What do you think the reaction should be? If you are a Greenlander or Canadian - it probably does feel quite dramatic - especially given Trump's mercurial personality - who knows what he'll come out with next.

Is this your way of shutting down debate? It's a well-known social media tactic of dealing with comments that you don't agree with. "Oh, you seem upset" or "don't you think you're being over-dramatic?"... as opposed to debating what's actually being said.

Trump thinks Greenland should belong to the US - when questioned about military 'involvement', he refused to rule it out.

Both are members of NATO - I think that's pretty dramatic stuff - and would certainly cause some drama.

Has it occurred to you that it might be that you haven’t fully grasped what is happening ronib? If you take the time to read some of the news coming out of the USA you’d understand why the rest of the world (not just Gransnetters) is looking on aghast. CNN is good for coverage.
