I would say simply, no one paper, FGT. If its a big issue then check out other views too, and if its in the US sources there. Google the issue - like the DEI remarks - and there are a wealth of choices.

Also, Sky and Yahoo after a certain amount of time has passed will quote the DM and the Telegraph, so although they are behind a wall we can all read them too.

For US news I check the CNN website first then others if they appear in a google search.

Was was Trade with the EU, where we did have elected representatives AND a strong say in the decision making, NOT important- despite close proximity and strong cultural and historical links.

FGT I don’t know if you’ve ever been in a position of interviewing and employing people or not?

If you have, you will surely know that there’s a lot more to assessing the suitability of an applicant than scoring highly on a test. As suggested above, that doesn’t necessarily make them the ‘best’ person for the job.

Something thats dredged up to "prove" Trumps DEI remarks.

We know nothing about the man except he's angry he didn't get a job, reasons could have been many, absolutely no proof whatsoever it was related to DEI.

One thing that I just cannot understand, at all.

Those here, Farage/Reform supporters - who mostly (probably all actually) voted for Brexit- did so so that the UK would keep its Sovereignty and independence- even though the UK had elected members representing us and making decisions at the top table in the EU. And now, semm totally prepared to follow Trump's USA blindly, without any representation or any input whatsoever in decision making- even those decisions which could and will, severely affect the UK.

How on earth does that work?

Perhaps you have never consistently suffered from discrimination, FGT. Discrimination, not exercised as a reaction to your abilities or intelligence but exercised as a reaction to your skin colour, your physical appearance or your gender.

Had you experienced that all your life you might just feel that positive discrimination is not altogether a bad thing.

If they have been there for a long time, do they think Trump has got worse since the last time he was in office?
I'm thinking back and there were protest marches back then when he was elected in 2017.

Will people leave or will there be even more protests this time?

They have all been there for generations and yes, they hoped Trump's last election was just a terrible mistake, and could never happen again. And yes, they do believe that being elected for a second time has emboldened and empowered him massively, and that he is now more dangerous than first time.

This makes my blood run cold and is so reminiscent of the Nazi obsession with the “superiority “ of their “master race”.

I suppose he thinks because he's blond, blue-eyed, tall and fit(ish) that makes him superior to other lesser beings.
