So happy to see that there are further hostage releases this morning. One soldier, aged twenty, another woman (not sure who) and an eighty year old man. Also being released are five Thai citizens who worked on the farms in Israel. Eight altogether who have endured such a long captivity and are now being freed.

Every hostage released by Hamas is a step forward.

Anniebach Thu 30-Jan-25 12:06:15

The woman was told to wave, Hamas surrounded her, frightening, a sure way to halt the ceasefire

Every hostage released by Hamas is a step forward.

It certainly is. Excellent news.

I’ve just seen on the BBC News that following chaotic scenes whilst releasing the hostages, that the Israeli government have delayed the release of the 110 prisoners who were to be released in exchange for the eight hostages.

This is a worrying development for those hostages who are still being held.

Why else did Hamas treat the two Israelis with such terrifying
actions .

Why else did Hamas treat the two Israelis with such terrifying
actions .

Because they are Heathans 😡

Anniebach Thu 30-Jan-25 13:43:58

One can be heathen and a humanitarian

I think they want to make a show of strength, or what they perceive as strength.
What it actually does is terrifies and humiliates the hostages. The second lady released today looked terrified. She was totally surrounded by Hamas terrorists with their faces covered and holding their guns aloft. Behind them were baying crowds, the same as when they were taken into Gaza.

Anniebach Thu 30-Jan-25 13:49:43

They certainly had no concerns for the hostages, how did they
treat the hostages whilst in captivity, too horrific to think of

maddyone Thu 30-Jan-25 15:38:45

They did at least look well fed Annie, but eventually they will disclose what happened to them in captivity I expect. It’s probably not advised to reveal too much at the moment with so many hostages still held.

Anniebach Thu 30-Jan-25 15:51:45

Definitely they will have to remain silent of their captivity Maddy, they must have been so fearful whilst surrounded by
masked murderers. Everyone seemed well fed, the masked and the many Palestinians who certainly looked very excited

Today three more hostages released. The father of the two tiny boys is one of them. He looks to have lost a lot of weight during his captivity. Poor man, he’s coming out to learn that there is no official news of his wife and babies. They are said to be on the list for release in this first wave, and it is assumed that it is their bodies that will be released. That poor man. Everything he has endured and no happy ending for him.

One girl looked so gaunt and afraid being jostled by her terrorist captors on her final steps to freedom. My heart went out to her and what she must have suffered at their hands. There will be a long road back to physical and mental wellbeing for many of them. I sincerely hope they get all the help and support they need to get there.

Anniebach Sat 01-Feb-25 11:31:51

The hostages are released but surrounded by brutal, Hamas, one cannot really think what they endure whilst in captivity

maddyone Sat 08-Feb-25 10:35:20

The hostages released today look emaciated, like victims being released from a concentration camp. Yet again, they are humiliated by being forced to thank their families murderers. Everything is filmed and photographed by Hamas on expensive equipment. And 183 Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange, some of whom were convicted of involvement in attacks that killed dozens of people, including 18 serving life sentences.

The whole charade boiled my piss😡

The whole charade boiled my piss😡

I veered between anger and despair.

That poor man has probably learnt of his wife and daughters death in the back of a Red Cross vehicle…

I agree.
And I agree with GG too.
The show these savages put on every week disgusts me.

Starved, grieving, made to stand on a stage and speak

JenniferEccles Sat 08-Feb-25 11:19:44

What monsters Hamas and their support are.
Pure evil.

What gets me too is the fact that only three or four Israeli hostages are released at a time yet to get them back, a couple of hundred or so Palestinian criminals have to be set free.

It seems so unfair.

nanna8 Sat 08-Feb-25 11:22:31

Hamas are a bunch of animals. No, actually, that is an insult to animals.

Anniebach Sat 08-Feb-25 11:32:29

Yes definitely an insult to animals

Absolutely heart-breaking
Those poor, poor men
Terrorised and humiliated right to the end

maddyone Sat 08-Feb-25 13:16:22

And then to find out that their nearest relatives are dead!
One man’s wife, two teenage daughters, and his brother, were all murdered on 07/19/21 and no one knew whether or not he knew. Another man’s wife was murdered at the festival and (thankfully) his two year old child was left with his grandparents and so that child is now three years old and probably won’t recognise his father after all this time.
I don’t have words to adequately describe how I feel about Hamas.
