They’ve reduced hospital waiting times. Increased massively the number of NHS dental appointments. Stopped the strikes. Are rebuilding our damaged relationship with Europe. Pity that things like that don’t make headline news.
These things haven't made the headlines for the following reasons
Labour has promised more dental appointments, but as far as I know is yet to deliver on them. So nothing to headline yet
And while in 2024 the overall backlog dropped from 7.48 million to 7.46 million, while the estimated number of patients waiting is down from 6.28 million to 6.24 million. Labour did not come into power until July, so cannot have had time to do anything significant to affect the figures. These will have been falling mainly as the result of measures the Conservatives introduced. www.england.nhs.uk/2025/02/waiting-list-falls-as-nhs-staff-treated-record-numbers-last-year/ Again it is a moot point over who made the biggest contribution to the drop in patient numbers, Conservatives or Labour
As for stopping the strikes, they did that by giving into all the strikers demands for more money, hardly something to be proud of. This did get the headlines, but not for the reasons Labour liked. It got the headlines because it was seen as caving in to unreasonable demands and as pay back to the Unions who finance the party.
What has the government done to rebuild our relationship with Europe?
