I seriously don’t understand why and how Farage appears to pop up everywhere other than his constituency.

Allegedly he’s recently been in Canada and then this week he’s been speaking at the ARC Forum.

Along with his TV job, when does he fulfil his MP duties?

foxie48 Thu 20-Feb-25 17:28:17

He doesn't.

JaneJudge Thu 20-Feb-25 17:35:31

i think he should be forced to live in the cheapest rental in jaywick permanently. He might gain some humanity angry

Allira Thu 20-Feb-25 17:37:03

What's his carbon footprint, I wonder?

JaneJudge Thu 20-Feb-25 17:38:07

actually the rentals are too nice. He should be forced to buy one

and then he can encourage them all to have more children

He's far too important to do the job he is paid £90K plus expenses to do. I am a little sorry for the folk of Clacton, but they did choose him. Thanet told him to jog on when he stood here.

the difference between the bridge and tunnel people and Essex

silverlining48 Thu 20-Feb-25 17:44:43

Good for Thanet.
Wonder how much time he has spent in Clacton, not much if any I imagine .

He's a confirmed speaker at CPAC (The Conservative Political Action Conference) in Washington DC this weekend.

Fellow speakers Vance, Liz Truss, Steve Bannon, Trump, Sebastian Gorka and a whole flock of other birds of a feather.

Book your tickets now folks, sounds lovely.

There's a rumour that Nigel Farage is keeping his head down because he's off to a Trump cheerleading conference over the weekend.

I’m afraid I’m being proved right- Farage is far more interested in Trump's success than British security. He is a bootlicker and a plastic patriot.

Just my cuppa tea… not!

Why would ANYONE to listen to Lettuce Truss? She’s utterly bonkers!

They didn’t all choose him and those that did not are horrified and no doubt some of those who did vote for him are wishing they hadn’t!

Chocolatelovinggran Thu 20-Feb-25 18:20:26

Fair point Cossy.

Wyllow3 Thu 20-Feb-25 18:32:08

When is he actually going to contribute something to our own country?

silverlining48 Thu 20-Feb-25 19:03:10

Probably never…he hasn’t so far

woodenspoon Thu 20-Feb-25 19:07:43

I can’t see why Liz Truss is in the US all the time. What is she hoping for?

Babs03 Thu 20-Feb-25 19:13:31

Nobody in Clacton has seen him, some smart alec put up posters 'have you seen this man?' with Farage's pic beneath.
He has been over to the US more times than he has been to Clacton.
Tbh if they were idiotic enough to swallow his snake oil salesman spiel am afraid my sympathy levels are pretty low.

Oh my good Lord!
I'd rather wear wet socks as my old dad used to say.

Mine would be if not for the fact my Bestie lives in Frinton and certainly didn’t vote him in and our holiday lodge in also in his constituency and most people there deserve better.

Just imagine what a bloody awful mess we’d be in if Farage was actually PM, (as some of here think he should)

I think she should just stay there, it’s clearly full of the insane!

woodenspoon Thu 20-Feb-25 19:29:59

That’s all well and good Cossy but what is the point of it? Why is she even there? She’s discredited.

"Outcast former British PM tells half-empty CPAC hall that UK becoming 'failed state'"
Headline of The Mirror US.

Quotes from Truss's speech -
"This is truly the golden age of America,"
Britain is becoming a "failed state" and is entering a "dark age".
"We want to flood the zone. We want Elon and his nerd army of Musk rats examining the British deep state."

Truss called for a Trump-style "revolution" in the U.K. And she teased the launch of her own "free speech media network" to "take on the Britain bashing corporation, which is what we call the BBC."

It seems she's there to calling Britain a failed state and criticise the BBC for 'Britain bashing'.

So far so typical of Liz Truss.

Wyllow3 Thu 20-Feb-25 20:41:37

Blimey, she's well off her trolley.

Wyllow3 Thu 20-Feb-25 20:42:45

Why doesnt she just join Reform or work with GB news? Does she really think herself that important?
