Ramy Abdul oJuc Goly Breaking: Statements by the Deputy Speaker of the Israeli Knesset: "*Palestinians in Gaza are outcasts, and no one in the world wants them. Women and children should be separated, and adults should be eliminated*."

When one side demonises the other and can no longer see human beings but simply something to be disposed of by whatever means possible, we reach this point, with both sides viewing the other in a similar way.
But only one side has the might to actually do this, with the support of the US. So it is doing it.

A cease and desist letter has been issued to Netanyahu by the murdered mother and children’s family because he going against their express wishes by showing graphic pictures of the little ones bodies.

He is a monster.

He is a monster, but what happened by Hamas was also monstrous.

Showing photos of murdered children is despicable, simply done to prove a point.

We know that's how they voted Annie but we also know, or should know, that you don't always get what you voted for.

Yes I know that surely Israel knew of Netanyahu ?

The incumbent prime minister of Israel is Benjamin Netanyahu, -who assumed office on 29 December 2022. He also held the office from 1996 to 1999 and from 2009 to 2021.

And Palestine surely knew of Hamas

Good points on both sides.

Yes but! anger can cause much

Indeed Annie. On both sides.

Babs03 Wed 26-Feb-25 12:29:27

I don’t think something has been lost in translation, would that this could be the truth. No, I imagine the Deputy Speaker was only voicing what many in the Knesset actually feel.
And his words take me right back to much darker days in 1930s Germany.
Absolutely horrifying.

Anniebach Wed 26-Feb-25 12:18:49

All I can find is photograph of murdered after Muslim attack in 2023, a link to the 2025 please

Showing pictures of little murdered children is fine if you are angry?
He really is a despicable monster.

If the deputy speaker of the Knesset actually said those things he should have been immediately booted out. The fact that he wasn't speaks volumes about Netanyahu. These people are bad for Israel and are awaiting their chances to get rid of the Palestinians from Gaza and yes it would be genocide.

I ignore statements from ‘a Jewish Israeli’ been so many posted.

I can’t forget the post where a grieving Israeli mothef was called miserable, when I questioned this Claremont replied
‘ it was badly translated ‘

Well Claremont it’s badly translated but I get the drift.
There are a few in the Knesset who are really hardline and as extreme in their views after what happened Oct 7th as their enemies are. That doesn’t mean for one moment that there are plans to carry out similar actions, just that they allow and understand that a few feel that way and they want to speak out.
Calm logic will prevail.

No Oreo, I cannot tell you how completely I disagree with you. You are beginning to sound like an apologist for the current israeli government and the worst elements of the Knesset

By not responding to these appalling statements Netanyahu is implicitly endorsing them. What is being advocated here, without irony, by a Jewish man, is to do to Gaza what the Germans did to Europe's jewish population.

Let us suppose that a leader of one of the small parties in the British Parliament. let us say a member of the Green pary, or Reform, or DUP or Plaid Cymru were to stand up in Parliament and make a similar type of speech about some ethnic group. in Britain. Say Asians in Southall, saying they shoula all be destroyed, men women and children, that earth should be wiped clean of them.

Do you think that our Prime Minsiter would remain silent, would any member of Parliament remain silent faced with such an incitement to violence.

Netanyahu remained silent because these are the people he relies on for his support, which tells you how far from their early high ideals the Israelis have fallen

Wyllow3 Wed 26-Feb-25 10:17:45

Israel should have a separate state. Its what is being said and done that is at issue.

Wyllow3 Wed 26-Feb-25 10:10:50

It is significant that Netanyahu doesnt speak against it.

I've found 2 interesting articles in Haaretz.

The first points out
" No, All Palestinians Don't Back Hamas' Depravity. And All Israelis Don't Back Ben-Gvir's Bloodthirsty Vengeance
When Hamas releasing the bodies of four Israeli hostages – a grandfather, a mother and her two young children – is greeted with calls by Israeli far-right politicians to 'wipe out, punish and destroy', it is necessary to remember that neither Palestinians nor Israelis have a monopoly over depravity, or decency"

The second does back up the claims there are substantial numbers of Jewish people condemning Trump Gaza plan

"No to Ethnic Cleansing' | Hundreds of U.S. Rabbis, Jewish Celebrities Condemn Trump Gaza Plan in NYT Ad
Signatories of the ad include rabbis from Conservative, Orthodox, Reform, Reconstructionist, Renewal movements working in congregations, campuses, hospitals, rabbinical seminaries, and community organizations in the U.S. and Israel
NEW YORK – Over 350 rabbis, along with Jewish artists, writers, and activists, have signed a New York Times ad denouncing Donald Trump's proposal to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza and have the U.S. own it for "a Real Estate Development for the Future

Israel has lost its way.

Although if you had been paying attention over the past years and months, none of it should come as a surprise.

It is so sad. In the past I have been a very strong supporter of the idea that Jews need a separate state, but I no longer am. They have forfeited that by Israel’s behaviour.

It hasn’t lost its way at all, it’s considering how best to bring this conflict with hamas and its very many supporters to an end.
It allows free speech in the Knesset but that doesn’t mean any speech translates into action or that the majority agree with them.
Now we have posters saying that Jews shouldn’t have their own separate state, so job done * Claremont* but what you get out of it I can’t imagine.

Unfortunately Israel’s actions are already proving the OPs point.

There is no calm logic in West Bank or Gaza.

Oreo Wed 26-Feb-25 09:53:32

Claremont looks for the worst in the Knesset and not the best
GG13 and constantly posts it.
If that had really been their policy then Gaza would have been carpet bombed well over a year ago.
Of course calm logic and humanity will prevail but people must understand that Israel is surrounded by implacable enemies and only entered this Gazan conflict after the massacre in Israel of innocents.
