Confirmed, carbon monoxide poisoning.

Sad news, an accomplished actor. Must be very sad for their families.

My daughter is on holiday ,out of the country, she has FaceTimed me several times this week

But the daughter said she hadn’t spoken to them for a couple of months I don’t call that close 🤣
My daughter sends me a text each morning to make sure I’m alive and not at the bottom of the stairs !!!!
Apparently the children aren’t as old as I expected for a 95 year old, late fifties and sixties and live a long way away

News reports say his two daughters say they are close to their father and his wife. They claim he kept fit and was well. There had been no contact for several weeks

Babs it appears he and his wife were recluses and had only been seen out once in the last 20 years Perhaps they didn’t want children’s interference none of us know but if he’s 95 I guess his children are probable around their 70 s
If they were reclusive maybe didn’t have friends as such
Who knows! we are all speculating with the bits of info we read

If the bodies had been there a while surely family and friends would have raised the alarm earlier when they couldn’t contact Gene or his wife?

More strange news is coming onboard apparently the bodies were starting to mummify indicating they had been dead a good while but that doesn’t fit because if so how would the other two dogs have been living /feeding etc very puzzling

It's interesting isnt it the ideas we hold about famous wealthy people. I just assumed that everyone with money would pay people to cook, clean, etc. Mainly because if I had money it would be what I would do! But that cant have been the case in this situation.

The evening news said that carbon monoxide and gas leaks had been discounted and suspicious circumstances are now being investigated.

Whether or not it is carbon monoxide poisoning, has everyone got their detectors up to date and checked?

The news now reports no sign of carbon monoxide and that two other family dogs are alive

It reminds me of Arthur Koestler who committed suicide with his wife, who was 21 years younger than him. There was some speculation that she might have been pressurised.

If this was suicide, I think it was the kind thing to have taken the dog with them. Dogs suffer from bereavement.

Only her supposition; but I rather thought the same. Bodies found in different rooms.

I really don’t like the speculation about suicide, which would infer that they killed their dog. I find that very distasteful. . Where did you read/hear that pills were strewn about Rula?

I'm surprised they don't apparently have legislation or education about carbon monoxide poisoning where ever he and his wife died.
It's second nature for me to check there are detectors where ever we go.
Does anyone else, check I mean?
